The Security products, which are considered as life safety goods have been placed in the highest bracket of 28% in the GST! What is shocking is that the government has clubbed these in the same bracket as entertainment electronics and other white goods.

The use of CCTV cameras has significantly improved policing in the country. In the recent acid attack case and ATM robbery case, video footage from the CCTV cameras turned out to be great help for the police. In the Nirbhaya gang r**e case also, the bus was identified from the video footage received from one of the CCTV cameras installed in a shop. Since most of the security electronics are currently imported into the country as the ‘Make in India’ activity has really not taken off in the real sense, the cost of these essential products will shoot up.

This will certainly result in people shying away in installing these products, leading to more insecurity. This is sure to have a negative impact on consumers wanting a secure life. Another negative impact which is sure to happen is that consumers would now trim down the level of their security and safety to manage costs, which would eventually give rise to crime and insecurity in the society

RED

In human color psychology, red is associated with heat, energy and blood and emotions that stir the blood, including anger, passion and love.



Red is any of a number of similar colors evoked by light consisting predominantly of the longest wavelengths of light discernible by the human eye, in the wavelength of roughly 630-700 nm. Longer wavelength than this are called infrared or below red and can not be seen by human eyes.



Red’s wavelength has been important factor in laser technologies as red lasers. Red light is also used to preserve night vision in low-light or night –time situations as the red cells in the human eye aren’t sensitive to red. Result, Red is used as one of the additive primary colors of light. Also, a Red filter used in black and white photography increases contrast in most scenes.
