Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under Ministry of Power, Government of India, organised the Influencers’ Conclave – East Region 2026 today in Patna, bringing together digital creators and influencers to strengthen public conversations around energy efficiency, conservation and sustainable living.

Held as a precursor to the 36th National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) 2026, the conclave highlighted the important role of the creator community in making energy-efficiency messages more relatable, relevant and actionable for citizens.

Shri Krushna Chandra Panigrahy, DG, BEE, addressed the conclave through video conference and emphasised the importance of communication and public dialogue in advancing energy efficiency and conservation. The conclave also provided an opportunity for BEE officials and participating creators to explore avenues for continued collaboration and deeper engagement with the energy-efficiency movement.

The conclave concluded with a call for creators to “Create Conversations, Inspire Choices and Drive Change” and contribute to India’s journey towards a more energy-efficient and sustainable future.

डिजिटल क्रिएटर्स और सोशल मीडिया इन्फ्लुएंसर्स की भूमिका ऊर्जा संरक्षण के संदेश को जन-जन तक पहुँचाने में अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। यह आयोजन जागरूकता को जनभागीदारी में परिवर्तित करने का एक सशक्त प्रयास है।

The five-day Master Trainer Program on Energy Conservation & Sustainable Building Code (ECSBC-C & R) – Batch I commenced on 31 August 2026 at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, sponsored by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India.

The program has been designed to create a pool of qualified professionals with a strong understanding of the Energy Conservation and Sustainable Building Code (ECSBC) 2024 and Eco Niwas Samhita (ENS) 2024 who further contributes towards capacity building on ECSBC across the country, supporting its effective implementation.

The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Pravatanalini Samal, Director, BEE, in the presence of Prof. Rajkiran Bilolikar, Director, Centre for Energy Studies (CES), ACSI.

Hon’ble Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal, held a series of meetings with senior officials of the Ministry of Power, Government of India to review key sectoral issues, including CAFE-III norms and prioritisation of transmission connectivity applications.

Hon’ble Minister was apprised of the extensive stakeholder consultations undertaken on CAFE-III norms, aimed at encouraging greater adoption of fuel-efficient and cleaner technologies, including EVs, hybrids and flex-fuel vehicles, while progressively reducing the carbon footprint of the passenger vehicle sector.

Discussions also focused on optimal utilisation of transmission capacity as India rapidly expands its renewable energy capacity. The need to align grid connectivity with genuine project readiness, while maintaining a predictable framework that facilitates investment and ensures timely and efficient utilisation of this valuable national resource, was emphasised.
