On 04.09.2026 (Friday), a Pharmacovigilance Awareness Programme was organized for the patients at the OPD of RRIUM, Bhadrak by Dr. Md Shaharyar Ali Ansari (Junior Research Fellow – Pharmacovigilance, Unani), under the supervision of Dr. Jawwad-ul Haq (Research Officer-In-Charge) and the guidance of Dr. M.A. Waheed (Research Officer-Unani), Coordinator, Pharmacovigilance. Dr. Md Akhter Hussain Jamali (Research Officer-Unani), IPD/OPD In-Charge, was also present.
During the programme, Dr. Md Shaharyar Ali Ansari explained the aims and objectives of Pharmacovigilance, stressing the importance of reporting any side effects or adverse drug reactions (ADRs) without delay. He highlighted the risks associated with self-medication, over-the-counter drugs, and unverified “verbal” medicines, and strongly advised patients to use medicines only under the consultation of a qualified physician.
The lecture also covered common symptoms of ADRs—including dizziness, vomiting, allergic reactions, abdominal pain, and other unusual complaints—and guided participants on how to report such events at the Pharmacovigilance Centre. IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials were distributed to reinforce the awareness message.
A total of 30 patients attended and benefited from the programme.

On September 5, 2026, an awareness session on Pharmacovigilance was organized in the OPD Hall of the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Patna, at 11:00 AM. The objective of the program was to sensitize the institute’s healthcare professionals, officers, employees, contractual staff, and attending patients regarding the reporting of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and misleading advertisements.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Zikra Tahseen A, Research Officer (Unani). In her presentation, she elaborated on the need for Pharmacovigilance and emphasized the importance of reporting side effects and misleading advertisements. Approximately 100 participants benefited from the program.

A Mobile Healthcare Camp was conducted by a team of RRIUM Kolkata under its Mobile Clinical Research Programme at Kewra Bagan, Ghusuri, Howrah on 05.09.2026. The camp provided healthcare services and Unani medical consultation to the local community.
A total of 44 patients attended the camp and benefited from the healthcare services provided by the medical team. The programme aimed to improve access to quality healthcare and promote awareness about the benefits of Unani medicine among the community.

दिनांक 05.09.2026 को क्लिनिकल रिसर्च यूनिट, बुरहानपुर में डॉ. यासमीन फातिमा (अनुसंधान अधिकारी प्रभारी) के नेतृत्व में डॉ. मोहम्मद इमरान खान द्वारा एंटीमाइक्रोबियल रेजिस्टेंस (AMR) के विषय पर जागरूकता व्याख्यान दिया गया। व्याख्यान में बताया गया कि एंटीमाइक्रोबियल रेजिस्टेंस, AMR का एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रकार है। इसमें बैक्टीरिया एंटीबायोटिक दवाओं के प्रभाव से बचने की क्षमता विकसित कर लेते हैं। परिणामस्वरूप ऐसी दवा, जो पहले संक्रमण का प्रभावी उपचार करती थी, बाद में काम नहीं कर सकती। एंटीमाइक्रोबियल रेजिस्टेंस प्राकृतिक रूप से भी विकसित हो सकता है, लेकिन गलत और अत्यधिक एंटीबायोटिक उपयोग इसकी गति को बढ़ा देता है। प्रतिरोधी बैक्टीरिया एक व्यक्ति से दूसरे व्यक्ति तक फैल सकते हैं। इससे निमोनिया, मूत्र मार्ग संक्रमण और अन्य बैक्टीरियल संक्रमणों का उपचार कठिन हो सकता है। इसलिए एंटीबायोटिक केवल उचित चिकित्सकीय सलाह पर लेना चाहिए। सही दवा, सही मात्रा और सही अवधि का पालन करना AMR को रोकने में महत्वपूर्ण है।

05 सितंबर 2026 को क्लिनिकल रिसर्च यूनिट (यूनानी), बेंगलुरु में राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति की त्रैमासिक बैठक डॉ. अरिशा शाहिद, प्रभारी एवं अध्यक्ष, राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित की गई। बैठक में समिति की सदस्य डॉ. फारूकी शाजिया परवीन, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (यूनानी) तथा डॉ. फाकीहा फिरदौस, अनुसंधान सहयोगी (यूनानी) उपस्थित रहीं।

बैठक में वर्ष 2026 की दूसरी हिंदी कार्यशाला के आयोजन के संबंध में विस्तारपूर्वक चर्चा की गई तथा कार्यशाला के आयोजन, विषय-वस्तु एवं अन्य आवश्यक व्यवस्थाओं की रूपरेखा तैयार की गई। इसके साथ ही आगामी हिंदी पखवाड़ा-2026 के आयोजन की विस्तृत रूपरेखा पर भी विचार-विमर्श किया गया। पखवाड़े के दौरान आयोजित की जाने वाली विभिन्न हिंदी-आधारित गतिविधियों एवं प्रतियोगिताओं की योजना तैयार करने तथा कार्यालय के सभी कार्मिकों की सक्रिय सहभागिता सुनिश्चित करने पर विशेष बल दिया गया।

बैठक के समापन पर डॉ. अरिशा शाहिद, प्रभारी एवं अध्यक्ष, राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति ने सभी सदस्यों को उनके सहयोग एवं सक्रिय सहभागिता के लिए धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया तथा राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन के लिए सामूहिक प्रयास जारी रखने का आह्वान किया।

आज दिनांक 05-09-2026 को क्षेत्रीय यूनानी चिकित्सा अनुसंधान संस्थान, नई दिल्ली में वित्तीय वर्ष 2026–27 की द्वितीय त्रैमासिक हिंदी कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यशाला का उद्देश्य संस्थान में राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रभावी प्रयोग को बढ़ावा देना तथा कार्यालयीन कार्यों में हिंदी के अधिकाधिक एवं व्यावहारिक उपयोग के लिए अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों को प्रोत्साहित करना था।
कार्यशाला में RRIUM के पूर्व उप निदेशक डॉ. ज़ियाउल हक़ सिद्दीकी को मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में आमंत्रित किया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त परिषद मुख्यालय के प्रशासनिक अधिकारी-सह-हिंदी प्रभारी श्री मयंक तिवारी को अतिथि वक्ता के रूप में अपने विचार प्रस्तुत करने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया।
श्री मयंक तिवारी ने प्रशासनिक एवं कार्यालयीन कार्यों में हिंदी के अधिकाधिक प्रयोग की आवश्यकता पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि संस्थान के दैनिक प्रशासनिक कार्यों, पत्राचार, टिप्पणियों एवं अन्य कार्यालयीन गतिविधियों में हिंदी को दुभाषी रूप में प्राथमिकता देने से राजभाषा के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन को बढ़ावा मिलेगा। उन्होंने आगामी संसदीय राजभाषा समिति के निरीक्षण को ध्यान में रखते हुए RRIUM में हिंदी के कार्य को और अधिक व्यवस्थित एवं प्रभावी बनाने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया, ताकि संस्थान राजभाषा के क्षेत्र में बेहतर प्रदर्शन कर सके एवं हिंदी पत्रिका के प्रकाशन का भी सुझाव दिया, जिसमें संस्थान की अनुसंधान गतिविधियों, चिकित्सकीय कार्यों, उपलब्धियों, राजभाषा संबंधी गतिविधियों तथा कर्मचारियों की रचनात्मक एवं साहित्यिक अभिव्यक्तियों को स्थान दिया जा सके।
मुख्य अतिथि डॉ. ज़ियाउल हक़ सिद्दीकी ने RRIUM द्वारा किए जा रहे कार्यों की सराहना की तथा संस्थान को अनुसंधान, चिकित्सा सेवाओं, प्रशासनिक कार्यों एवं राजभाषा के क्षेत्र में और बेहतर कार्य करने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उन्होंने अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों से समन्वित प्रयासों के साथ संस्थान की प्रगति के लिए निरंतर कार्य करने का आह्वान किया।
कार्यक्रम का संचालन संस्थान के डॉ. अनवर जमाल, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (यूनानी) एवं हिंदी प्रभारी द्वारा किया गया। उन्होंने कार्यशाला के विभिन्न सत्रों का सुचारु रूप से संचालन करते हुए वक्ताओं एवं प्रतिभागियों का परिचय कराया तथा राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रभावी प्रयोग के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला।
कार्यक्रम के अंत में संस्थान की डॉ. आरिफा खातून, रिसर्च ऑफिसर (यूनानी) ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापन प्रस्तुत किया। उन्होंने अतिथि वक्ता और मुख्य अतिथि तथा सभी अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों का कार्यशाला में सहभागिता एवं मार्गदर्शन के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया।
संस्थान एवं इसके अधीनस्थ लोकेशन सेंटर के समस्त अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों ने सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया और राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रभावी प्रयोग तथा संस्थान की कार्यप्रणाली को और बेहतर बनाने के संबंध में अपने विचार एवं सुझाव प्रस्तुत किए।

Bhadrak, 4 September 2026: A Journal Club meeting on “Artificial Intelligence in Research and Manuscript Writing in Unani Medicine” was organised at the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Bhadrak (NABH-accredited and NABL-certified institute).
The session was presented by Dr Md Akhter Hussain Jamali, Research Officer (Unani), under the supervision of Dr Jawadul Haq, Research Officer In-Charge, RRIUM, Bhadrak. The meeting was attended by all officers and technical staff and was held at the Seminar Hall of the Institute.
Dr Jamali highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scientific research and Unani Medicine, covering its applications in literature searching, evidence synthesis, research planning, data analysis, manuscript drafting, language refinement, referencing, and research outputs.
The session particularly focused on the responsible use of AI in scientific manuscript writing, emphasising scientific accuracy, originality, transparency, proper citation, and ethical standards. The importance of independently verifying AI-generated information and avoiding fabricated references or unsupported scientific claims was also discussed.
The presentation also explored the potential of AI in the digitisation and interpretation of classical Unani literature and manuscripts, including the use of OCR, natural language processing, and AI-based knowledge discovery for Arabic, Persian, and Urdu texts. These technologies were highlighted as promising tools for preserving traditional knowledge and supporting systematic research in Unani Medicine.
The meeting provided an interactive platform for officers and technical staff to discuss the opportunities and challenges of integrating AI into Unani research, while maintaining traditional knowledge, scientific integrity, and research ethics.
The Journal Club concluded with an emphasis on using AI as a supportive tool rather than a substitute for scientific judgement, enabling researchers to improve efficiency and productivity while maintaining rigorous and credible research standards.

Review Meeting of Working Groups on Ilmul Advia Held at CCRUM
The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, convened a Review Meeting of the Working Groups on Ilmul Advia on 3rd September 2026 under the chairmanship of Dr. N. Zaheer Ahmed, Director General, CCRUM.
The meeting reviewed the progress of the three Working Groups constituted to undertake focused work on:
• Determination of Mizaj of Adviae Murakkabah included in the Essential Drugs List (EDL);
• Identification and validation of substitutes for Unani drugs; and
• Rationalisation of dosages of formulations included in the National Formulary of Unani Medicine (NFUM).
The Working Groups, comprising experts from CCRUM’s peripheral institutes and distinguished external experts, presented the progress made against their respective Terms of Reference. The presentations were followed by detailed discussions and deliberations on the findings, approaches and recommendations of the Groups.
The Director General appreciated the dedicated efforts, valuable expertise and commitment of all members and acknowledged their significant contribution towards developing comprehensive documents and evidence-based recommendations in the field of Ilmul Advia.
The meeting also deliberated on the future course of action for finalising the draft recommendations and presenting them before the forthcoming brainstorming session on Ilmul Advia. A clear roadmap, including timelines for completion of the remaining work, was discussed to facilitate the development of robust, scientifically sound and practical recommendations for further validation and implementation.

Pre-Clinical Research Sub-Committee Meeting Held at CCRUM Headquarters

The Pre-Clinical Research Sub-Committee Meeting was held on 3 September 2026 at CCRUM Headquarters, New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Dr. N. Zaheer Ahmed, Director General, CCRUM, to deliberate upon the Pre-Clinical IMR Projects submitted under the IMR Call 2026-27.
Prof. M. Idris, Ex-HOD, Department of Ilmul Saidla, A & U Tibbia College, Karol Bagh, New Delhi, attended the meeting physically as the Chairperson of the Pre-Clinical Research Sub-Committee. Dr. H. N. Yadav, Additional Professor, Department of Pharmacology, AIIMS, New Delhi, attended virtually as a Member of the Committee.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Younis Iftikhar Munshi, DDG, CCRUM; Dr. Pawan Kumar, R.O. (Path.), CCRUM Headquarters; Dr. Mustehasan, R.O. In-charge, DSRU, New Delhi; Dr. Farah Ahmed, R.O. (U), CCRUM Headquarters; Dr. Usama Akram, R.O. (U), CCRUM Headquarters; Dr. Lubna Fatima, R.O. (U) & Programme Officer, IMR, CCRUM Headquarters; Dr. Mir Idrees, R.O. (U), CCRUM Headquarters; and the respective Principal Investigators of the Pre-Clinical IMR Projects under consideration also participated virtually.
During the meeting, four Pre-Clinical IMR Projects received under the IMR Call 2026–27 were presented and discussed in detail. The experts deliberated upon the scientific feasibility, novelty, methodology, and ex*****on plan of the proposed projects.
The respective Principal Investigators presented their projects before the Sub-Committee, followed by detailed discussions and expert deliberations. Based on the observations and recommendations of the experts, the P*s were advised to incorporate the necessary amendments and modifications in the respective project proposals before their further consideration.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Director General, CCRUM, the Chairperson and members of the Sub-Committee, experts, and Principal Investigators for their valuable contributions and participation.

त्रैमासिक हिंदी कार्यशाला का आयोजन

क्षेत्रीय यूनानी चिकित्सा अनुसंधान संस्थान, कोलकाता में आज दिनांक 03 सितंबर 2026 को त्रैमासिक हिंदी कार्यशाला (जुलाई–सितंबर 2026) का सफलतापूर्वक आयोजन किया गया। कार्यशाला का विषय "राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रयोग में तकनीकी साधनों एवं कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (AI) की भूमिका” था।

कार्यशाला का शुभारंभ संस्थान के अनुसंधान अधिकारी प्रभारी, डॉ. मोहम्मद नवाब के स्वागत भाषण से हुआ। तत्पश्चात मुख्य अतिथि एवं विषय विशेषज्ञ श्री प्रियंकर पालिवाल, सलाहकार, भारतीय विद्या मंदिर, कोलकाता का पुष्पगुच्छ एवं उपहार भेंट कर स्वागत किया गया।

इसके बाद राजभाषा प्रभारी, डॉ. मोहम्मद मसीहउज्जमां अंसारी द्वारा कार्यशाला की प्रस्तावना प्रस्तुत करते हुए विषय का परिचय कराया गया। मुख्य वक्ता श्री प्रियंकर पालिवाल ने राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रभावी प्रयोग में तकनीकी साधनों तथा कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (AI) की उपयोगिता एवं संभावनाओं पर सारगर्भित एवं उपयोगी व्याख्यान दिया।

कार्यक्रम का कुशल संचालन कनिष्ठ लिपिक, कु. मरियम कलीम द्वारा किया गया तथा अंत में श्री मंसूर अहमद द्वारा धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया गया।

कार्यशाला में संस्थान के अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक सहभागिता की। कार्यशाला का उद्देश्य कार्यालयीन कार्यों में हिंदी के अधिकाधिक एवं प्रभावी प्रयोग को प्रोत्साहित करना तथा आधुनिक तकनीकी साधनों एवं AI के माध्यम से राजभाषा हिंदी के कार्यान्वयन को और अधिक सरल एवं प्रभावी बनाना रहा।
