SECI was proud to represent India at the World Hydrogen Summit 2026, Rotterdam, during the session “Green Hydrogen in a Shifting World Order: Securing Supply, Scaling Capacity.”
Shri Sanjay Sharma, Director (Solar), highlighted India’s evolving green hydrogen ecosystem and SECI’s role in creating scalable, bankable, and globally competitive green fuel markets.
A key focus of the discussion was SECI’s landmark ~0.724 MMTPA Green Ammonia tender, where SECI shared insights about the drivers behind its globally competitive price discovery.
SECI shared how targeted de-risking measures including joint site visits, detailed infrastructure assessments, strategic auction sequencing, standardized contracts, and robust Payment Security Mechanisms enabled a shift from assumption-based bidding to ex*****on-based pricing.
SECI also highlighted its ongoing 0.5 MMTPA Green Methanol initiative and emphasized the importance of India–Europe collaboration through certification alignment, long-term offtake partnerships, and trusted green energy corridors.
The session featured insightful perspectives from Mr. Rahul Munjal of Hero Future Energies, Mr. Jorgo Chatzimarkakis of Hydrogen Europe, Mr. Matthieu Boisson of CertifHy, and Mr. Lukas Hubert of H2Global Foundation.
