The AISF was founded on August 12, 1936, and is the first Indian federation of students to work for the independence of India. The idea of such a federation was mooted by late Indian Prime Minister Shri.Jawaharlal Nehru and over the years it has been instrumental in shaping several great leaders like former President of India, Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, former PM, Shri.Atal Bihari Vajpayee, D.Raja, M.

P, Rajya Sabha and many others who started their political career through this students' federation. It witnessed an unprecedented number of students who came forward to struggle for the independence of India.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has ordered a re-examination for 49 candidates who were unable to complete the Ayurveda paper of the All India Ayush Postgraduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) in Jaipur on Saturday after a power failure disrupted the computer-based examination for nearly 45 minutes.

For nearly 45 days, students at Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (MGAHV), Wardha, have been holding a peaceful satyagraha demanding basic academic and student rights — including restarting the 2022 PhD admission process, restoring departments, improving hostel, mess and library facilities, and filling vacant faculty positions.

Instead of engaging in meaningful dialogue, the administration has resorted to police action, with an FIR registered against AISF MGAHV Unit Joint Secretary Rahul Kumar and fellow satyagrahis Rajesh Sarthi, Niranjan Oberoi, Rakesh Ahirwar, Nitend Ohdar and Shivpujan Pasi.

AISF Andhra Pradesh Holds Protests Across 18 Districts Demanding “Change Is Necessary” in Education!

AISF Andhra Pradesh State Council organised protests across 18 districts as part of its “Change Is Necessary” campaign, raising key demands concerning students and the public education system.

The protests raised the following demands:

- Reopen government schools that have been closed.
- Revoke G.O. No. 77 and ensure the release of pending fee reimbursements for PG students.
- Scrap the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- Provide proper facilities for university students and fill all vacant teaching posts.

AISF Andhra Pradesh reaffirmed its commitment to defending students’ rights and strengthening public education.

Directorate of Collegiate Education in Tamil Nadu issued a circular directing students not to participate in any protest calls given by Left student organisations.
AISF Tamil Nadu immediately responded by staging a protest in front of the Directorate of Collegiate Education office. Following the protest, the Directorate recalled the circular by this evening.
On behalf of the National Council, revolutionary greetings to the AISF Tamil Nadu State Council and the students of Tamil Nadu for their swift and determined response.
