The Well marked low pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal & adjoining areas of north coastal Odisha and northwest Bay of Bengal persists over the same region at 0530 IST of today, the 31st August, 2026.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards across north Odisha-Gangetic west Bengal during next 24 hours.

उत्तर-पश्चिम बंगाल की खाड़ी और उससे सटे पश्चिम बंगाल-उत्तरी ओडिशा तटों पर बने 'वेल मार्क्ड लो-प्रेशर एरिया' (अच्छी तरह से चिह्नित कम दबाव वाले क्षेत्र) के असर से, 30 और 31 तारीख को गंगा के मैदानी इलाकों वाले पश्चिम बंगाल और झारखंड में कहीं-कहीं भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश होने की संभावना है; साथ ही 30 अगस्त से 1 सितंबर के दौरान ओडिशा और छत्तीसगढ़ में भी बारिश होगी, जिसमें 30 और 31 तारीख को ओडिशा में और 31 अगस्त 2026 को छत्तीसगढ़ में कहीं-कहीं बहुत ज़्यादा भारी बारिश हो सकती है। अगले एक हफ़्ते तक प्रायद्वीपीय भारत में बारिश की गतिविधियां कम रहने की संभावना है।
