| Under the banner of the All India Agricultural Workers Union (AIAWU), thousands of agricultural and rural workers will march to Patna in 10 December, 2026 against the anti-people policies of the BJP-led Bihar State Government and the Central Government.

This decision was taken at the Bihar State Committee meeting of the AIAWU, held in Patna on August 19–20. The meeting strongly condemned the renewed attack on the rural poor by the state government through new taxes and tariffs on essential services such as housing, water and electricity.

The meeting also condemned the displacement of rural poor from the land where they have lived for generations in the name of removing so-called “encroachments” and various development projects.

The AIAWU has decided to launch an aggressive struggle for the right to employment. Following an intensive statewide campaign, a massive rally will be organised in Patna on December 10, 2027. The rally will be preceded by a State-level Convention on these issues on October 24, 2026.

| As part of the All India Jail Bharo Andolan on August 10, a militant protest was organised in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. A rally was taken out from the memorial of revolutionary freedom fighter Dhana Singh to the Mini Secretariat, where the protesters demanded their arrest.

The protesters raised slogans for nearly an hour and blocked the entrance to the Mini Secretariat. However, the police refused to arrest the agitators. Insisting on their demand for arrest, the protesters then blocked the main road for nearly two hours where comrade Vikram, Joint Secretary AIAWU addressed the gathering.

It appeared that the police and district administration were not prepared to make arrests. The district administration eventually came to the spot and stated that they were not in a position to arrest all the protesters. Following this, a public meeting was held at the same location.

सीटू (CITU), एआईकेएस (AIKS) और एआईएडब्ल्यूयू (AIAWU) ने 10 अगस्त 2026 को ‘भारत छोड़ो दिवस’ के अवसर पर जेल भरो आंदोलन आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया है।

यह आंदोलन मेहनतकश जनता के मुद्दों को बुलंद करेगा और उपनिवेशवाद तथा साम्राज्यवाद के विरुद्ध संघर्ष की विरासत को आगे बढ़ाएगा।

| हरियाणा में पानीपत जिले के बापौली ब्लॉक में अंग्रेजों भारत छोड़ो दिवस पर 10 अगस्त को जेल भरो आह्वान की तैयारियों में अखिल भारतीय खेत एवं ग्रामीण मजदूर यूनियन, सैंटर आफ इंडियन ट्रेड यूनियन और अखिल भारतीय किसान सभा के कार्यकर्ताओं की संयुक्त बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक में बापौली ब्लॉक के गांवों में खेत एवं ग्रामीण मजदूरों, किसानों और परियोजना वर्कर्स की संयुक्त आम सभाएं करने की योजना बनाई।
बैठक को अखिल भारतीय खेत एवं ग्रामीण मजदूर यूनियन राज्य महासचिव राजेंद्र ने संबोधित किया।

CITU, AIKS, and AIAWU have decided to conduct a Jail Bharo movement on 10 August 2026 which is also the ‘Quit India Day’. This movement will raise the issues of the toiling masses and carry forward the legacy against colonialism and imperialism.
