Rotary East Hills in association with the Kerala Govt Optometrists Association distributed spectacles to the residents of Jaimatha Old Age Home Ezhukumvayal on 23rd March 2026.

This initiative aimed to enhance the quality of life of the elderly by improving their vision and ensuring better day-to-day comfort.

The event was attended by Club President Rtn. Sojan Kuriakose , Secretary Rtn. Aji Sathyavrathan , IPP & GGR Elect Rtn. Sudheesh Kumar P, Past President & Program Coordinator Rtn. Siby George and Rtn. Abraham Varghese .

💖 സ്പർശം – A Touch of Care 💖

സ്പർശം - A project designed by Rotary East Hills Nedumkandam to support the Old Age Homes under the Rotary District Theme "Harmony".

On September 28th, we organized “സ്പർശം“ – a Free Medical Checkup & Medicine Distribution for the dear residents of Jayamatha Bhavan Old Age Home, Ezhukumvayal.

The medical consultation was led by Rtn. Dr. V. K. Prasanth, ensuring quality care for the elders. Along with expert advice, free medicines were also distributed to support their well-being.

The program was graced by AG Rtn. PK Shaji, along with President Rtn. Sojan Kuriakose, Secretary Rtn. Aji Sathyavrathan and our fellow Rotarians, whose presence and support made the event truly meaningful.

We are committed to continue this program throughout the year at Jayamatha Bhavan, ensuring regular care and compassion for our elders.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making Sparsham, a memorable day of love, care, and compassion. ✨

Rotary East Hills Nedumkandam celebrated Independence Day together with the students and staff of Panchayath UP School, Nedumkandam.

President Rtn. Sojan Kuriakose hoisted the national flag at the school premises, followed by inspiring Independence Day messages from President Rtn. Sojan Kuriakose and Secretary Rtn. Aji Sathyavrathan.

🎖️ Certificates were awarded to students who excelled in the School Social Service Scheme during the previous year. The honors were presented by President Rtn. Sojan Kuriakose, AG Rtn. PK Shaji, Secretary Rtn. Aji Sathyavrathan and IPP Rtn. Sudheesh Kumar.

🤝 Rotary also extended support to the students participating in the “കരുതൽ ത്രിദിന സഹവാസ ക്യാമ്പ്” being held at the school conducted by School Social Service Scheme, furthering our commitment to youth development and community service.

Anti-Drug Awareness Rally: Kick Drugs, ജീവിതം തന്നെ ലഹരി
Rotary East Hills and Government Polytechnic College Nedumkandam jointly organized a powerful Anti-Drug Awareness (ജീവിതം തന്നെ ലഹരി) Rally at Nedumkandam, uniting students, Rotarians, faculty, and the community to stand against the rising threat of drug abuse.

The rally sent a strong message promoting sports and healthy living as the true path forward, with the theme "Kick Drugs, Say Yes to Sports."

A major highlight of the event was the energetic and thought-provoking flash mob performed by the students, capturing everyone's attention with the inspiring message: "ജീവിതം തന്നെ ലഹരി" – "Let life itself be your high."

A heartfelt thank you to all who participated and supported this impactful event. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier future.
