"Mai Bhago also known as Mata Bhag Kaur was a Sikh woman who led 40 Sikh soldiers against the Mughals in 1705. She killed several enemy soldiers on the battlefield, and is considered to be a saint warrior by the Sikh Nation for over 300 years. She was the sole survivor of the battle of Khidrana, i.e. Battle of Muktsar (fought on 29 December 1705)"⠀⠀

: After defeating and punishing Wazir Khan in the battle of Chapard Chirdi, the Khalsa Army marched towards Sirhind and demolished the city to ruins. Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Standing in the burning city asked the Singh's to find the real treasure for which they have marched here {remaining bricks in which Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh were bricked alive}. The Singh's found some of the bricks..

Baba Banda Singh remembring the scene where Chotte Sahibzade are confronting the Kaazi while being bricked alive and shouting the Jaikara "Sat Sri Akal". Once the impenetrable walls of Sirhind were pile of ruin. Baba Banda Singh said to the Singh's " Bury this treasure here we have to march ahead to expand the empire, the Khalsa will return and find this treasure". This treasure is most important thing for us and till the end of time this will be our inspiration source...

On 12th May, 1710 Baba Band Singh Bahadaur conqured Sirhind and Killed the Cruel Wazir Khan and established the first Sikh Empire.

Sojhi is our program for developing K-12 curriculum, resources, and products to help young people, build connections, and derive insights from Sikhi. Sojhi is oriented around the goal of developing insights to inspire a Guru-centered life.

Currently we provide printable worksheets, lesson plans and Powerpoint files for Kindergarten to Grade 8, free to download. Each grade is divided into two core curriculum: Boli (Language Arts) and Virsa (Sikh History). Curriculum for Pre-K and High School is under development.
