One of the most frequent questions I get at Mooi Resha is: 'How do I keep my child engaged with books when they only want to play with trucks?'

The answer is the Tony Mitton 'Amazing Machines' series. These aren't just picture books. They use incredible rhythm and rhyme to explain how complex machines actually work—from airplanes to ambulances. It’s the perfect bridge between 'playtime' and 'reading time.' 📖✨

Once upon a garden, a tiny seed began its journey…

In this 4-week story book club, children will listen to beautiful garden stories, move like growing plants, sing simple songs, create art, and plant real seeds.

Through stories we’ll explore how things grow — with care, patience, and joy.

🌱 A gentle, playful hour of stories and hands-on activities, designed especially for children aged 4 to 6 years.

Starting 10th January 2026

I didn’t expect a book about a stick to make me feel this way. 🪵💔

I read **Stick Man** for the first time as an adult, and while the rhymes are fun for kids, the emotional core of the story is what stayed with me.

As an adult, you don't just see a stick on an adventure. You see a family member who is lost. You feel his desperate longing to get back to his “Family Tree.”

It’s a story about resilience, yes, but mostly It's about being together as a family.

It’s my absolute favorite Julia Donaldson book because it speaks to the grown-up reading it just as much as the child listening.
