श्रम आयुक्त संगठन, उत्तराखण्ड की स्थापना वर्ष 2000 में हुई थी।
संवैधानिक, वैधानिक एवं अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन के अभिसमयों (Convention) के अन्तर्गत प्रतिबद्धताओं के संदर्भ में विभाग के प्रमुख कार्यो एवं दायित्वों का विवरण निम्नांकित हैः-
केन्द्र एवं राज्य सरकार द्वारा अधिनियमित विभिन्न श्रम कानूनों का प्रवर्तन सुनिश्चित करना। विशेष रूप से न्यूनतम वेतन एवं वेतन भुगतान, कर्मकार प्रतिकर भुगतान, समा

न कार्य केलिये महिला एवं पुरूष श्रमिकों को समान मजदूरी भुगतान, मातृका हितलाभ सुनिश्चित कराने के साथ-साथ कार्यस्थलों पर उनके यौन उत्पीड़न की शिकायतों के सम्बन्ध में औद्योगिक नियोजन (स्थाई आदेश) अधिनियम के अन्तर्गत आवश्यक कार्यवाही सुनिश्चित करना,
श्रमिकों को ग्रेच्युटी भुगतान, बोनस भुगतान, अन्तर्राज्यिक एवं संविदा श्रमिकों के हितलाभ आदि तथा सामाजिक सुरक्षा के लाभ सुनिश्चित कराना।
बाल/बंधुवाश्रम प्रथा के उन्मूलन हेतु संबंधित कानूनों एवं माननीय उच्चतम न्यायालय के निर्देशों का अनुपालन सुनिश्चित करना।

हरिद्वार में श्रम आयुक्त की सख्ती—श्रमिक समस्याओं के त्वरित समाधान के निर्देश

उत्तराखंड में श्रमिक हितों को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देते हुए हरिद्वार में श्रम #आयुक्त श्री #प्रकाश चंद्र #दुमका की अध्यक्षता में एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक आयोजित की गई, जिसमें औद्योगिक ट्रेड यूनियनों और एसोसिएशन ने भाग लिया।

बैठक में #वेतन #वृद्धि, #ओवरटाइम #भुगतान और श्रम कानूनों के #अनुपालन जैसे अहम मुद्दों पर गंभीर चर्चा हुई। खास बात यह रही कि संवाद के माध्यम से कई समस्याओं का मौके पर ही समाधान निकाला गया—जो उद्योग और श्रमिकों के बीच मजबूत समन्वय का सकारात्मक संकेत है।

Today, the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UKBOCW) has been honored with the Gold Award in Delhi by the SKOCH Group for its innovative Labour Cess Collection Management System (LCCMS). The award was received by the Labour Commissioner, Uttarakhand / Secretary, UKBOCW, P. C. Dumka.
Developed by UKBOCW, the LCCMS portal has emerged as a benchmark in digital governance. Its success has led to adoption by the Ministry of Labour and Employment for replication across states nationwide.
This recognition marks a significant shift from a manual mechanism to a transparent, accountable, and efficient digital system, showcasing a strong commitment to governance reform and technological advancement.
