🏆⚽ National Sports Day 2026 | Day 2 – PLAY

As part of the National Sports Day 2026 celebrations, Nalbari Police organised a day of sporting activities at Sarihatali Stadium, Nalbari, promoting the spirit of teamwork, fitness, camaraderie and sportsmanship.

The celebrations featured a friendly football match between Nalbari D.E.F. and 14th APBN, Daulasal, along with a Women’s Tug-of-War Rope competition, bringing together police personnel and participants in a vibrant sporting atmosphere.

The initiative reflects the “Ek Ghanta Khel Ke Maidan Mein” spirit and encourages everyone to make sports and fitness a part of everyday life. 🇮🇳🏆

📌 Crime Review Meeting | Nalbari Police

A Crime Review Meeting was held today, 28.08.2026, at the Conference Hall of the SSP Office, Nalbari, under the chairmanship of Smt. Indrani Baruah, IPS, IGP (CWR).

The meeting was attended by Shri Bibekananda Das, APS, SSP Nalbari, along with all GOs and OCs of Nalbari District.

Key issues discussed included crime prevention, investigation and conviction rates, case disposal, pending cases, ITSSO, e-Sakshya, cyber crime, police verification pendency, and road accident prevention, with emphasis on strengthening policing measures across the district.

⚖️ JUSTICE DELIVERED | NDPS CASE ⚖️

The Hon’ble Special Judge, Nalbari, has convicted Sanjib Lal Talukdar @ Sanjiv Lal Talukdar, S/O Late Lohit Ch. Talukdar, R/O Rampur Bazar, PS–Mukalmua, District–Nalbari, in NDPS Case No. 38/2022, arising out of Mukalmua PS Case No. 208/2022.

The accused has been sentenced to 10 years of Rigorous Imprisonment and a fine of ₹1,00,000/- under Section 22(c)/29 of the NDPS Act. In default of payment of fine, he shall undergo Simple Imprisonment for one year.

Nalbari Police appreciates the efforts of WSI Suchitra Biswas, who investigated the case, and all personnel involved in bringing the case to its logical conclusion.
