The National Conference on Patient Safety 2026 was inaugurated at AIIMS Nagpur, marking the beginning of two days of focused deliberations on advancing safer, evidence-based & patient-centred healthcare

🔹The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Anil Sukhdevrao Bonde, Hon’ble MP (RS) & Chairperson, Indian Medical Parliamentarians’ Forum, as Chief Guest; Shri Ajay Sancheti, Former MP (RS), as Guest of Honour; Dr. Sujata Chaudhary, Addl. DGHS & Dr (Prof.) Prashant P. Joshi, Exec. Director & CEO, AIIMS Nagpur

🔹Organised in collaboration with NPSS, DGHS, MoHFW, Govt of India, the conference brings together healthcare leaders, clinicians, nursing professionals, administrators, researchers & patient-safety stakeholders from across the country

🔹With the theme Safe Care for Non-Communicable Diseases and the slogan 'Safe Care for Life!', the conference aims to strengthen patient safety, quality improvement & safer healthcare practices across institutions

The College of Nursing, AIIMS Nagpur, welcomed the Batch-2026 of BSc (Hons) Nursing & MSc Nursing students on 01.09.2026 with a week-long Induction Programme.

🔹The inaugural session was graced by the Executive Director, AIIMS Nagpur, Dr (Prof) Prashant P. Joshi, along with the Dean (Acad.), Dean (Research) & Principal, College of Nursing.

🔹The programme is designed to help students transition smoothly into the academic and clinical environment, acquaint them with institutional systems and support services, and nurture confidence, connection, and a strong sense of belonging.AIIMS Nagpur extends a warm welcome to the new batch!

🪷 Celebrating the Divine Spirit of Janmashtami at AIIMS Nagpur 🪷

AIIMS Nagpur celebrated the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami with enthusiasm and devotion, bringing together students and faculty to celebrate the divine spirit and timeless teachings of Lord Krishna.

✨ The celebrations were inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the gracious presence of the Executive Director and CEO, AIIMS Nagpur, Dr. Prashant P Joshi, and Dean, Student Welfare, Dr. Siddharth P. Dubhashi.

✨ The festivities featured Dahi Handi, soulful bhajans, a drama depicting the life and teachings of Lord Krishna, and a quiz for students, showcasing the creativity and cultural spirit of the AIIMS Nagpur family. The Executive Director distributed prizes to the quiz winners. He applauded the enthusiastic efforts of all the students and student representatives, Mr. Abhinand V., Ms. Arundhati Jyothish, Mr. Sujal Undirwade, Mr. Vedant Subhedar, Ms. Subbulakshmi, and the entire team, for their valuable contribution to making the celebrations memorable.
