The "Dodda Jathre" or "Big Festival" at the Srikanteshwara Temple in Nanjangud, Karnataka, is a major annual event where thousands of devotees participate in pulling five colorful chariots through the old town, a tradition that draws people from all over.
The main attraction is the pulling of five chariots, representing deities like Ganesh, Sri Srikanteshwara, Parvathi, Subramanya, and Chandikeshwara, through the main street of the old town, known as the ratha beedi.
