Unveiled at IAAPI Amusement Expo 2026, the industry’s largest edition to date, IAAPI launched its first comprehensive Safety Handbook for amusement operations in India.

This handbook is designed as a practical reference for operators across parks and indoor centers, covering key aspects of ride safety, operations, maintenance, and standardization.

As the sector continues to grow with increasing investments and scale, the need for consistent safety practices becomes critical.

IAAPI has announced the reappointment of its leadership for a second consecutive term, reinforcing continuity and momentum for the Indian amusement and attractions industry.

Ankur Maheshwary will continue as Chairman, with Prashant Kanoria and Maneesh Verma returning as 1st and 2nd Vice Chairmen. The new tenure will run from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.

The reappointment follows a landmark year for the association, with membership crossing 650, the launch of Gaja as IAAPI’s mascot, the publication of the Safety Handbook and IAC white paper, and continued policy advocacy including Industry Status and GST rationalization for the sector.

Looking ahead, the leadership has outlined a strong focus on domestic manufacturing, aiming to position India as a net exporter of amusement products within the next five years. The roadmap includes government alignment on manufacturing support, closer collaboration between operators and manufacturers, and encouraging joint ventures with international partners.
IAAPI also plans to strengthen data-driven industry insights through a dedicated analytical research partner to track trends, seasonality, and global shifts.

Three incredible days. One industry coming together.

The 24th IAAPI Amusement Expo 2026 concluded successfully at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, bringing together the global attractions and entertainment community for three days of innovation, collaboration, and celebration.

The expo was inaugurated by Shri Kandula Durgesh, Hon. Minister of Tourism, Culture and Cinematography, Government of Andhra Pradesh, marking the opening of India’s premier B2B platform for the amusement and attractions industry.

With 210+ exhibitors from 15 countries, the expo showcased the latest innovations across amusement rides, VR, arcade gaming, water park attractions, immersive technologies, and entertainment solutions.

Over the three days, the expo featured knowledge sessions, industry discussions, MoU signings, and the IAAPI National Awards for Excellence, celebrating innovation and achievements across the sector.

From engaging conversations at IAC Connect to networking opportunities and award celebrations, the expo reflected the growing momentum of India’s amusement and attractions industry.

A big thank you to all exhibitors, partners, speakers, and visitors who made this edition a grand success.

Day 2 of the expo brought together industry leaders, innovators, and partners to celebrate excellence across India’s amusement and attractions sector.
The evening was not only about recognising achievements, but also about marking important milestones for the industry.

IAAPI signed a strategic MoU with the Shopping Centre Association of India, strengthening collaboration between entertainment destinations and retail ecosystems.

Another major announcement saw Andhra Pradesh Tourism sign a ₹100 crore MoU with Modern Master Pvt. Ltd. at IAAPI Amusement Expo to develop a new amusement park and resort in Visakhapatnam, marking an exciting step towards expanding world-class attractions in India.

With awards, partnerships, and exciting announcements shaping the future of the industry, the momentum continues.
