Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal is State Women Development Corporation of Maharashtra known as MAVIM. MAVIM is working with aim of ‘Women Empowerment’. It is established in Feb, 1975. It is registered under section 25 of companies’ act 1956. It is administered by Women & Child Development Dept. Objectives of MAVIM is mobilizing and building organization of women, enhancing capacities by providing t

rainings, increasing self-confidence and strengthening entrepreneurship among women and making credit and markets accessible to them. The corporation also seeks to improve women’s access to education and increase their participation in decision making and governance. Since 1994, MAVIM has adopted strategy of organizing rural women through Self Help Groups. In the year 2001, Govt. of Maharashtra had declared MAVIM as NODAL AGENCY for women Development. MAVIM have implemented several schemes of state as well as central govt., MAVIM is working in all district & 1/3 villages of Maharashtra.

Today, IFAD Consultants — Mr. Kevin Dowling (KM & Communication Expert) from Rome Mrs. Gayatri Mahar (Technical Expert – GTM) from New Delhi and Mrs. Chitra Sawant (KM Consultant, MAVIM HQ) — visited Ahilyanagar District.

The team visited Awla Candy, Jamun Juice, Jaggery Plant, and Cow Ghee Production Units, where they interacted with and interviewed entrepreneur SHG members to understand their business processes and experiences.

दि. २६ सप्टेंबर २०२५ रोजी माविम नागपूर जिल्हा कार्यालयात GTM ISM Mission टीमची भेट पार पडली. या भेटीत माविमच्या मा. व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक श्रीमती राजलक्ष्मी शहा (भा.प्र.से.), IFAD प्रतिनिधी Ms. Beatrice Gerili (Rome) आणि Ms. Gayatri Mahar (New Delhi) उपस्थित होत्या.

बैठकीत माविम घरामध्ये COE Building उभारणी, MAVIM Institutional Assessment आणि Thought Leadership या विषयांवर सविस्तर चर्चा करण्यात आली.
