Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma today presided over the Convocation Ceremony of the All India Institute of Local Self-Government, which is celebrating its centenary year, at the Institute’s auditorium in Andheri, Mumbai.
The Governor presented the diploma certificates to meritorious students who had successfully completed various diploma and certificate courses offered by the Institute.
The Governor congratulated the Institute for completing 100 years of service to urban governance, local self government, capacity building, skill development and social development in India.
President of the Institute Ranjit Chavan, Director General Dr Jayraj Phatak, Trustee Rajkishore Modi, Secretary to the Governor Dr Prashant Narnaware, Deputy Director General Ravi Ranjan Guru, recipients of diploma and certificates and invitees were present.
आपल्या स्थापनेचे शताब्दी वर्ष साजरे करीत असलेल्या अखिल भारतीय स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थेचा पदवीदान सोहळा राज्यपाल जिष्णु देव वर्मा यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत आज अंधेरी मुंबई येथील संस्थेच्या सभागृहात संपन्न झाला.
यावेळी राज्यपालांच्या हस्ते संस्थेतून विविध अभ्यासक्रम पूर्ण करणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांना पदविका प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान करण्यात आले.
भारतातील नागरी प्रशासन, स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्था, क्षमता वर्धन, कौशल्य विकास आणि सामाजिक विकास या क्षेत्रांमध्ये गेली १०० वर्षे उल्लेखनीय योगदान दिल्याबद्दल राज्यपालांनी संस्थेचे अभिनंदन केले.
कार्यक्रमाला संस्थेचे अध्यक्ष रणजित चव्हाण, महासंचालक डॉ. जयराज फाटक, विश्वस्त राजकिशोर मोदी, राज्यपालांचे सचिव डॉ प्रशांत नारनवरे, उपमहासंचालक रवीरंजन गुरु, पदविका प्राप्त करणारे विद्यार्थी तसेच निमंत्रित उपस्थित होते.
