Negotiating between Land & Water — exploring how architecture can mediate, adapt, and respond to the dynamic realities of flood-prone terrains.

We will be presenting selected projects from our studio that try to make peace with water through design in the aqueous landscapes of Uttar Pradesh & Maharashtra. These works investigate resilience, community sheltering, and ecological intelligence in regions shaped by seasonal inundation.

Mapping the Metropolis > Ahmedabad > Fieldwork > 353 Sites

The Fieldwork took our team to 353 places across the city of Ahmedabad. They visited 353 Public Toilets & documented their status, year of establishment, distribution, size, usability & building condition, location & surrounding context, footfall, quality of space, operating agency, program and accessibility to Differently abled, Senior citizen, Children & Women etc.

This led us to creating a database in the form of an interactive map that govt. agencies can use to evaluate the state of Public Toilets in the city. The study can be instrumental in devising future strategies & frameworks for improving Public Sanitation across the city.
