The David Sassoon Library & Reading Room, in association with Gujarati daily "MUMBAI SAMACHAR" and our Life Member, Dr. Sudhir Shah, Ms. Sangeeta Joshi will hold literature events for promotion of Gujarati language in the David Sassoon Library Garden on 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th April 2016 between 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Members are requested to attend and take advantage of these programmes.

The David Sassoon Library and Reading Room will celebrate its 149th Foundation Day Celebrations on Sunday, the 21st February 2016, in the evening, in the Library garden. The Library will also hold the 2nd David Sassoon Library Memorial Lecture on the same day to be delivered by Mr. Anil Harish, eminent Advocate.

Advocate, Mr. Amit Date, Committee Member will organize and render a programme on old Hindi songs which will be followed by Dinner, for members only.

IDBI BANK PROVIDES SPONSORSHIP TO THE DAVID SASSOON LIBRARY & READING ROOM

We are very pleased and grateful to announce that IDBI Bank has agreed to sponsor Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) towards General Funds to our library.

We thank IDBI Bank for their generous outlay and hope for a long term association with them.

David Sassoon Library &:Reading Room has yesterday received Rs 5 lakh, as a corpus donation from the H.T. Parekh Foundation. The Managing Committee thanks the donors for their support, and expects continuous patronage from them and other donors in years to come. The Committee assures it's members and patrons that it shall continue to strive in it's efforts to make a visible change in the betterment of the Institute.
