DraftCraft holds events, shows, screenings and tours at Sassoon Docks. DraftCraft is an International Media-Legal think-tank with head office in Colaba, Mumbai. It endeavours to research, document, film and advocate on issues of social relevance and hosts a wide range of events for people from all walks of life. Focus areas: Law, Policy, Human Rights, Culture, Heritage, Environment and Diplomacy.
DraftCraft has been initiated by Gajanan Khergamker, an independent editor, solicitor and documentary film-maker - with over three decades of experience. DraftCraft mainly involves students and professionals of Law, Media, Journalism and Social Work in its range of activities. Volunteers are also encouraged to join and contribute. DraftCraft urges socially-inclined individuals and entities to tap into resources and contribute towards reaching aid - legal, medical, infrastructural, educational and social - to the underprivileged needy. You could:
- Participate in regular workshops, talks, film screenings and shows on campaigns and issues
- Work with teams to generate media by way of articles, documentaries, full-length films
- Shoot photographs for regular exhibitions and shows for the authorities and the media
- Initiate projects of your own through DraftCraft and ensure that deprived groups are fetched justice through strategic media-legal intervention
