३ ऑगस्ट २०२६ रोजी राज्यसभेत मंजूर झाल्यानंतर, 'सूक्ष्म, लघु आणि मध्यम उद्योग विकास (सुधारणा) विधेयक, २०२६' आज लोकसभेत मंजूर करण्यात आले.

'सूक्ष्म, लघु आणि मध्यम उद्योग विकास कायदा' (MSMED कायदा) २००६ मध्ये अधिसूचित करण्यात आला होता आणि या कायद्याच्या अंमलबजावणीला आता २० वर्षे पूर्ण झाली आहेत.

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026, passed by the Lok Sabha today, subsequent to its passing by the Rajya Sabha on 3rd August, 2026.
The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act (MSMED Act) was notified in 2006 and has completed 20 years of its enactment.

Empowering artisans through knowledge and innovation!

MSME-DFO Mumbai successfully organized an Awareness Programme on Branding and Marketing under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme on 17th July 2026 at Jalgaon, benefiting over 100 PM Vishwakarma artisans.

The programme featured comprehensive sessions on:
• Enterprise Development
• Pricing Strategies
• Financial & Digital Literacy
• Sales and Marketing Techniques
• Product Packaging, Labelling & Designing
• e-Commerce Opportunities
• Practical hands-on training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its business applications

Information on Loan Outreach Camps scheduled in the district was also disseminated and the participants were appealed to avail the credit facilities.

The programme was graced by the presence of GM, DIC Jalgaon, DVIO, KVIB, officers from the Skill Development Department, MCED, Lead District Manager, and other distinguished officials, who interacted with the participants and shared valuable insights. Shri Praful Umare, IEDS, Deputy Director, MSME-DFO Mumbai coordinated the event.

The initiative aims to equip PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries with modern business and digital skills, enabling them to enhance their market reach, strengthen their enterprises, and achieve sustainable growth. Office of Development Commissioner-MSME

MSME-DFO Mumbai participated in the MSME Trade Enablement & Marketing (TEAM) Initiative Programme, organized by NSIC in association with ONDC and other industry partners on 24th June 2026 at the Mini Auditorium, SNDT Women's University, Santacruz, Mumbai. The programme was aimed at creating awareness among MSMEs on digital commerce, market access, and various government initiatives for enterprise development.

The event witnessed active participation from MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, startups, industry representatives, and other stakeholders. Technical sessions were conducted on digital marketing, market linkages, financial assistance, and opportunities through digital commerce platforms.

Ms. Mathurya I K, Assistant Director Grade II, MSME-DFO Mumbai, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. During her address, she highlighted the various schemes and initiatives of the Ministry of MSME and emphasized the support available to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises for their growth and development.

The programme also featured expert sessions by representatives from NSIC, SIDBI, MACCIA, WISE SNDT Women's University, and other industry experts. An interactive question-and-answer session provided participants with an opportunity to engage with the experts and seek clarifications.

🌸 Celebrating Women Entrepreneurs & International MSME Day 2026 🌸

The Chamber for Advancement of Small and Medium Business (CASMB), in collaboration with Amway, proudly organized "She Shines: From Aspiration to Inspiration", a special programme dedicated to celebrating the inspiring journeys, achievements, and success stories of women entrepreneurs.

Organized on the eve of International MSME Day 2026, the event was held on 26th June 2026 at Hotel Fern, Kolhapur, highlighting the pivotal role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and promoting women-led entrepreneurship.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from women entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and stakeholders. The dignitaries shared valuable insights on entrepreneurship, business growth, innovation, and women's empowerment.

Shri Milind Barapatre, IEDS, Director, MSME-DFO Mumbai, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. In his address, he highlighted the various schemes and initiatives of the Ministry of MSME and encouraged entrepreneurs to proactively leverage these programmes for the growth and expansion of their enterprises.

The gathering was also addressed by Dr. Jasmin, CEO, Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur, who inspired the audience with her insightful thoughts on empowering women through entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation.

The event served as a vibrant platform to celebrate the spirit of women entrepreneurship and reaffirm the collective commitment towards building a stronger, more inclusive, and self-reliant MSME ecosystem. An interactive panel discussion was organized during the event.
