NABFOUNDATION NABFOUNDATION is the new subsidiary of NABARD.

It is a Not For Profit, Section 8 company floated by NABARD to take up development projects in a collaborative mode with multiple stakeholders. The core activities undertaken by NABFOUNDATION are:

• Rural income and livelihood generation
• Sustainable agriculture and rural development
• Natural resources management
• Climate proofing of Indian agriculture
• Skilling
• Rural off-farm activitie

• Gender sensitization

• Water conservation
• Financial inclusion

The foundation will make efforts to leverage technology to cut down costs, stress upon convergence in development planning and aim for collaborative financing from the very inception of project formulation to pursue the above focus areas.

We are proud to share that the Jaisalmer Water Security (JWS) Programme of NABFOUNDATION has received the Jury Choice Award at the 8th ICC Social Impact Summit & Awards 2026.

Implemented with Tarun Bharat Sangh, the initiative revives traditional water harvesting systems like Khadeens, Beris, Tankas and community ponds to strengthen water security in the desert villages of Jaisalmer.

This recognition reflects the collective efforts of communities and partners working towards sustainable water conservation.
