Hi,
My name is Abhishek Solanki and I’m reaching out to you regarding Insurance claim for my Samsung Galaxy S8.
I have insurance from OneAssist and recently had to get a claim from them for my phone. I paid ₹5000 for the insurance. When my phone got damaged, I reached out to my insurance company (OneAssist). They gave me an estimate of ₹14000, out of which I was asked to pay 10% of the amount. I was also informed that my phone will be repaired by Samsung Care and not any third party company. I submitted my phone and paid the amount which I was asked for.
But after 10-12 days I noticed that my phone’s screen is not functioning properly and behaving abnormally. I visited Samsung Care to notify about this issue. I was shocked to know that the screen which OneAssist had put is a duplicate screen. They took the estimate for original amount, asked me to pay 10% and then put the screen which is worth of the amount (10%) Which I paid.
When I contacted OneAssist to discuss this, they are not ready to take any ownership. They’re are getting aside by saying that we are responsible for only 2 days after the repair. Come on! Just 2 days???? Even a local street side shop would also give more warranty than 2 days. Is this the service I paid for??
Moreover, I am a Delhi resident. Why the hell did they send my phone to ludhiana local market for repair?? Had I known this, I’d have gone to Delhi local market, gaffar. I can be assured that they would have done much better.
This is the pathetic experience I have had with OneAssist. I’m surprised that Samsung which is the top leading brand in world and the name itself says in today’s market, deals with such fraud companies like OneAssist.
I need a compensation by getting my phone’s original screen fixed at Samsung Care.
