Bhagsar Bhagsar "the village you like" Town situated 14 km west of Muktsar. It is Great Village with 6000 Citizens. The soil of this village is of loamy sandy type.

Location
The village Bhagsar is situated in Muktsar District of Punjab. It is situated between 30°26'30''06''' N latitude and 74°24'09''02''' E longitude and is 195.18 metres above sea level. It has a gradient slope from north-east to south-west. The water table is about 20-50 metres. The ground water quality is not very good, it is neither good for irrigation nor for drinking. Total area of the v

illage is 7142 acres out of which 6898 under plough. The hadbast no. of the village is 51. History
The word Bhagsar is derieved from two words "BHAG" meaning fortune and "SAR" meaning a water body, there by meaning that fortunate waterbody. Earlier it was also known as "BHAGPURI DHAB". There was a water body where people from far of places used to come to graze their cattle. One such group of the "BRAR" clan used to come from Doda Pargana about. Rai Singh s/o Alla Singh who along with his uncles Kapura Singh and Bamu Singh were the first residents of the village. Three patti's in the village are named after 3 brothers Alla Singh, Kapura Singh and Bamu Singh. The village allotment deed was signed by S. Sher Singh officiating king of Faridkot state after receiving 1 camel & 1 mohar as nazrana. The village Bhagsar got the allotment deed signed on 18 Phagun 1893 Bikarmi Samvat i.e March 1835. After 8 yrs of founding the village Jai Singh brother of Rai Singh was killed by his cousin fron Bamu patti. The descendents of Jai Singh founded another village Lakhewali. An year before the settlement Rai Singh came back to Bhagsar & claimed his land rights in the village & also kept his share in land at Lakhewali. The place were this fight took place his on the northern side of the village were a shrine has been erected in his memory.

ਕਲ ਮੈ ਪਿਂਡ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ! ਜਦ ਪਿਂਡ ਭਾਗਸਰ ਪਹੁਂਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਹਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਦੀ ਇਕ "ਧੀ" ਨੂਂ ਢੋਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਮੈਥੋਂ ਲਂਗ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤੇ ਪੁਛੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਗਿਆ!
ਪੁਛਣ ਤੇ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਏਹ ਏਸੇ ਪਿਂਡ ਦੀ ਤੇ ਸ.ਸ.ਸ.ਸਕੂਲ ਭਾਗਸਰ Bhagsar ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਹੈ!

ਪਿਤਾ Bagar Ram ਨੇ ਛਾਤੀ ਫੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਦਸਿਆ, 'ਮੇਰੀ ਪੁਤਰੀ ਇਂਦਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ "ਚਾਇਕੋਵਾਂਡੋ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ( ਪਂਜਾਬ ਲੈਵਲ ) ਰੂਪਨਗਰ (Ropar) ਚੋਂ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਲੈਕੇ ਆਈ ਹੈ!

ਮੈ ਕਿਹਾ 'ਜੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਚੀਉਂ ਹੀ " @ਨਾਨਕ " ਦੇ ਅਸਲੀ ਵਾਰਸ ਹੋ, ਜਿਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ "ਸੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਮੰਦਾ ਆਖੀਏ . ਜਤਿ ਜਨਮਿ......." ਨਹੀਂ ਕੌਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਐਨਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਲਈ,ਓ ਵੀ ਗਰੀਬ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ?? ਜਿਨਾਂ ਨੂਂ ਦੋ ਡਂਗ ਦੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਦਾ ਫਿਕਰ ਰਹਿਂਦਾ!

@ਇਂਦਰਜੀਤ ਨੇ ਦਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ "ਕਮਲਾ ਦੇਵੀ" ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਥ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ!
