Tuli, 22 May 2026:

The new office building of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Tuli was inaugurated today by the Sr. Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, Vesupra Kezo at Tuli.

In his address, the SSP stated that the new office was a long-felt need of the Tuli Police and expressed gratitude to the concerned authorities for completing the construction of the office building on time. He emphasized that the office should be a place where justice is delivered, complaints are heard sincerely, and public service is rendered promptly and efficiently.

He further thanked the citizens of Tuli for extending their wholehearted cooperation to the Police and urged them to continue the same spirit of mutual understanding and support so that Tuli remains one of the most peaceful and progressive towns through collective cooperation.

A speech was also delivered by Mr. Imtiwapang, PRO to Advisor and MLA Pangjung. The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by A. Sungkum, Pastor, Police Baptist Fellowship. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Aketo Chisho, SDPO Tuli, while the programme was chaired by Mr. Lash*to Tsuipu.
The programme was attended by several distinguished guests and public leaders including Mr. Watitoshi, President, Langpangkong Tsukong Mundang; Mr. Alemchuba, Chairman, Tuli Town Council; Mrs. Korilila, President, Watsu Telen Tuli; Dy. Chairperson TTC, Mr. Moatemjen; Mr. Sunep Jamir, Chairman, Tulikong Ward, along with police personnel and their family members.

Mr. Nungsangtemjen presented a melodious special song during the programme. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Posehu Kezo, Officer-in-Charge, Tuli Police Station.
The programme concluded with a closing prayer by Mrs. Abenla, Women Leader, Police Baptist Fellowship Tuli.

On 02/04/2026 Mokokchung Police apprehended one person from Chungtia village namely Imtinungchet (23 years) S/o- Lt.Tiameren V/o- Chungtia for illegally possession 1(one) country made .22 pistol along with magazine and 3 (three) live round of .22 ammunition. Security briefing was held with all the SDPOโ€™s and OCโ€™s at SP Office Mokokchung on 27/03/26 in connection with the bye election to 28 Koridang A/C 2026, Assam election and Border issue. A pre-trial destruction of seized and confiscated Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) was carried out at old Court premises Mokokchung.
The destruction committee, headed by the Addl.SP Mokokchung, along with the A.P.P Mokokchung, EAC, DPRO, and P.I Mokokchung, oversaw the proceedings. In total, about 650 cases of assorted liquor were destroyed in accordance with legal procedures.
