On the very first day of the New Year 2026, a delegation from the Federation of Tibetan Cooperatives in India Ltd. (FTCI), led by Shri Pema Delek, Chairman, paid a courtesy visit to Shri Chowna Mein Ji, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, at his Namsai residence. The delegation extended New Year greetings and expressed heartfelt gratitude for his unwavering support to the Tibetan community in Arunachal Pradesh, while also seeking his continued patronage. The FTCI Chairman was accompanied by Ngawang Gelek, Chairman of Tezu CS; Tenzin Rabjor, CEO of Miao CS; and Namgyal Phuntsok, CEO of Tezu CS.

On 26th December in Itanagar, the Secretary of the Society held a series of meetings with senior officials of the Textile and Handicraft Department, including Director Shri Phuntsok Dorjee la, and conveyed heartfelt gratitude for the department’s continuous help and support from the very beginning. The Secretary also requested continued support in the future and discussed various upcoming programs and projects, including those related to handicrafts and looms, registration for empanelment, and benefits for artisans.

It was an honour to meet Lobsang Ngawang la, who served as the Office Superintendent-cum-Cooperative Secretary during the founding years of the Miao Choephelling Tibetan Settlement in 1975–76. His tireless efforts during the resettlement from Changlang played a crucial role in shaping the community we cherish today. We remain deeply grateful to elders like him for laying the strong foundation on which we continue to thrive. On behalf of all our members, we expressed our heartfelt gratitude to him for his dedicated service.

Our society showroom has been freshly restocked with a wide range of new items! We now have plates, bowls, chopsticks, serving spoons, and regular spoons in all sizes, along with trays available in three beautiful colours. We have also introduced an electric incense burner.
