Santosh Shrinivas Pai Raiturkar of the need of having at least one Ambulance vehicle for the people residing in and around Margao in order to help the needy patients. Santosh Shrinivas Pai Raiturkar, the President of MMC, a committee of Citizens was formed under the name Margao Ambulance Service to make arrangements to give efficient and round the clock Ambulance service to the people of South Go
a District in general and to Margao City in particular. Mr.Santosh Shrinivas Pai Raiturkar is of the opinion to have amendments to the constitution to the trust to be done at the earliest inorder to widen the scope of the trust inorder to make more developments/works in field of education,health etc. He praised Mr.Mayur Gosalia trustee, to support the projects in the field of education to full strength. The Ambulance service scheme was inaugurated on 19th December 1988 at the hands of the then Governor of Goa Dr. Gopal Singh. The Deed of Trust was executed on 21st May 1990 setting up a Trust named "MARGAO AMBULANCE TRUST". There were 16 Trustees of the said Trust their names being:

Over the years, the Trust provided urgent and efficient Ambulance Services to the people from different parts of Goa and especially from Margao, at nominal rates. Since 1988, all 3 past chairmans Mr. Madhuker Mordekar, late Mr. Vinodkumar Gosalia and especially late Mr.Mahabaleshwar Borkar who acted as chairman over 10 years exceedingly well in his successful term. The Trust also desires to have Mobile Morgues, as many a times, the Hospicio Morgue either remains overloaded or remains out of order. Today we also have a Hearse Van which is being used by people of South Goa and citizens of in and around Margao.
