Indian Red Cross Society, Mangalagiri has organised a service project for Distribution of Blankets & Biscuits to poor victims of Montha Cyclone taking shelter in Relief Camps at Municipal Schools in Weavers Colony & Kothapet, Mangalagiri.

Mangalagiri Indian Red Cross Society organised a Basic First Aid Training Workshop on 19th August 2023 at VTJM & IVTR Degree College Auditorium in Mangalagiri. In This Full Day Training Workshop, renowned and experienced Doctors Dr K.V. Sai Prasad, Dr|| Goli Rama Mohan Rao, Dr|| Nandam Rama Rao and Redcross Resource Person Sheikh Jani Rasool imparted practical training on First Aid Procedure to be done in case of heart attack, brain stroke, accident, snake bite, dog bite etc, immediately before taking the victim to the doctor. In this program, 144 candidates who came from various places surrounding Mangalagiri like Vijayawada, Guntur and far away places like Palakollu and Parchur and participated in the training workshop from 9:00am to 6:00pm. In the Inaugural Ceremony held before the training program, INTECH Convenor and Red Cross Coordinator Sri SVS Lakshmi Narayana, President of VTJM & IVTR Degree College Mr. Isunuru Chandra Mohan and Secretary Mr. Venigalla Tatha Rao spoke to participants and Red Cross Members. Guntur District Red Cross Society Vice Chairman P. Ramachandra Raju Inaugurated the Training Workshop with his presentation of Red Cross. In the Valedictory Ceremony held after the training workshop, certificates were presented to all the participants by the Chief Guest Sri G.V. Rama Prasad, President of Mangalagiri Indian Red Cross Society & Tahsildar and Executive Magistrate, Mr. Damarla Venkata Narasimham, Dean of VTJM & IVTR Degree College & Member of High Court Mediation and Arbitration Center, and Sri Dogiparthi Srinivasa Rao Secretary & Correspondent of Sri Nalanda Vocational Junior College. The program was organized by Mangalagiri Indian Red Cross Society Chairman Isunuru Anil Chakraborty, EC members Gajula Srinivasa Rao, Sheikh Sandhani, Gunti Nagaraju, Red Cross members Ande Murali Mohan Rao and others.
