chievement of independence, both the countries have passed through stresses and strains..resulting in mutual hatred and hostilities.It is a pity that the youths of both the nations, who were never a part of the Partition, are taught to hate each other and glorify war.Throughout the World History, misguided narrow nationalism has been the cause of many a war and has brought sorrow and suffering to humanity.What we want war for...two inches land? Remember, if any country or Super Powers get locked in a nuclear conflict, they will bring about sure and complete extinction of mankind and civilization. Instead of spending a large amount of resources in manufacturing nuclear capability, we should have spent the same amount in solving the problems of our people. If we live in peace, then only we can utilize our power and other resources in technology and other fields.Thus, we can develop fast and benefit & improve the lives of our people. We had been united in our struggle movement for freedom...we look alike, we share the same culture, traditions, language, literature, legacy, music etc..the list is endless..Then, why can't we shed off our pre-concieved notions and convictions and end our mutual hatreds & fears and pave the way for love & fellow-feeling for peaceful co-existence. It is a fact that the geographical border between the two nations could not divide the underlying bonds of love between the people.The Pakistanis adore Lata Mangeshkar, Sachin Tendulkar & many Bollywood film stars as much as the Indians love to listen to Noorjahan, Mehndi Hassan or Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
