In a proud moment for our 33-Siktam Tikpur GPU under Daramdin Block of Soreng District has been officially declared a TB Mukta Gram Panchayat for the year 2025.
The recognition was awarded under the Government of India’s National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, marking a major step towards eliminating Tuberculosis at the grassroots level.

We the Gram Panchayat and residents expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Health Department for their continuous support, guidance, and dedicated services in achieving this milestone. Their efforts played a crucial role in ensuring a TB-free environment in the area.

Officials congratulated all stakeholders and encouraged continued efforts to sustain the TB-free status in the coming years. The achievement also aligns with the national mission of a TB-free India under the slogan “TB Harega, Desh Jeetega.”

The certificate was issued on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day i,e 24th March emphasizing the importance of collective action in eradicating the disease.

Career Counseling & Awareness Program was successfully organized at Village Administrative Centre of 33 Siktam Tikpur GPU on 24/03/2026 with the objective of guiding students and youth towards better career opportunities.
The program witnessed active participation of Panchayat President Mr. Bir Man S***a and all Panchayat Members, specially students of PM SHRI School Tikpur , local community members and all ASHA members. Resource persons from Helth Department shared valuable counseling on health

Respected our AD/PRI Sir Mr. Budha Hang S***a emphasized the importance of proper career planning, awareness, and informed decision-making in today’s competitive world. He also encouraged students to identify their interests and strengths while choosing a career path.
The event aimed to empower young minds with the right knowledge and direction to build a successful future. Participants expressed their appreciation for the informative and interactive session.

A proud moment for the entire people of Siktam-Tikpur GPU as Miss Prativa Khanal,a pride daughter of Mr.Jaganath Khanal and Mrs.Khina Maya Sharma resident of Siktam has been cleared Secondary CBSE Board Examination CLASS X 2025 from Govt. Sr. Sec. School Sombaria with outstanding performance by scoring 95 % become a first position from our Soreng District and Third position in entire Sikkim State.

So, we the Gram Panchayat offered our sincere congratulations and a token of Love with some amount of cash money and Certificate of Appreciation for her excellent marks.
