Cancelling the NEET exam is punishing students for the Inefficiency of the BJP Government.

The failure of the NTA has once again exposed the weaknesses, negligence, and incompetence in the centralized examination system of our country.

Young Democrats demands the immediate resignation of India’s Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, following the cancellation of NEET UG 2026 conducted on 3 May after the leakage of question papers.

Days before the examination, the NTA assured students and parents of multiple layers of security and “zero chances” of error. However, recent developments have exposed the agency’s complete failure in ensuring a fair and secure examination process. The NTA was clearly not 10 steps ahead, but 10 steps behind.

More than 22 lakh students have suffered because of the negligence and incompetence of the concerned ministry and examination agency. Students across the country invested immense time, effort, and dedication in preparing for this examination, only to see their hard work undermined by a preventable security breach.

Forcing 22.79 lakh students to appear for a re-examination is nothing short of punishment for failures committed by the system itself. This crisis will severely impact students’ careers, admissions, academic timelines, and the mental health of students and their families.

Young Democrats strongly demands the decentralization of entrance examinations, as was followed earlier, in order to reduce corruption, prevent question paper leaks, and ensure greater transparency and accountability in the examination process.

Young Democrats holds the Education Minister of India and the NTA fully accountable for this negligence and administrative failure. The future of the youth of this country must not be ignored, compromised, or sacrificed due to incompetence.
