The Maibang Municipal Board hereby declares that all markets, shops, and business establishments within its jurisdiction shall remain closed on 21st September, 2025 from 5 am to 4 pm as a mark of respect and mourning for the sad demise of Zubeen Garg, the beloved artist who brought pride and glory to our region.

We request the cooperation of all citizens in observing this closure as a tribute to his memory.

On the occasion of 15th August, 79th Independence Day Celebration, the Chairman of Maibang Municipal Board, accompanied by the Vice Chairman and office staffs, visited the Maibang CHC hospital to distribute fruits and snacks to patients as a gesture of care and solidarity. The visit aimed to share joy and hope with those undergoing treatment, reminding them that the community stands with them in times of need. The Chairman handed items to patients, offering words of encouragement and support during the visit. The Vice Chairman and office staff also actively participated, distributing items to patients and warmly interacting with their families. Their collective effort brought smiles and hope to those undergoing treatment. Such thoughtful acts not only provide nutritional support but also uplift the spirits of patients and their families. The visit reflects a commitment to community welfare, showing that small gestures of kindness can make a significant difference during times of illness and healing.
