Global Girmitiya Lineage Archive & Searching Centre - Gglasc GGLASC is established as a special section of the Mahavir Singh Memorial Trust.

As a section of MSMT, the GGLASC aims to restore these broken family ties and reconnect descendants with the ancestral departure sites of Indian indentured labourers.

It was truly a great pleasure and an exciting experience to listen to Dr. Aniel Pahladsingh, Deputy Judge and Immigration Commissioner, Amsterdam. His knowledge and understanding of immigration-related challenges are profound and remarkable. Along with him, Advocate Rachana Shukla was also conferred with the Girmitiyalogy Award.

This was an important step toward raising awareness of Girmitiyalogy in India and across the world. The major credit for this goes to Prof. Dr. Shardhanand Harinandansingh, also known as Baba. Baba is a citizen of Suriname/The Netherlands.

This award was presented by Dr. Binod Kumar Singh, Chairman, GGLASC. GGLASC is a branch of the Mahavir Singh Memorial Trust.
