A father returning from school with his child on a bike fell into an open sewage pit — a shocking example of gross civic negligence. Serious questions must be asked of the Municipal Corporation for leaving such a deadly hazard uncovered.

If this is what “improvement” in Ludhiana looks like, then what exactly are we celebrating as Rangla Punjab?

The Municipal Corporation should be ashamed. Covering sewage pits is the most basic public safety measure — it’s not rocket science. This kind of negligence is endangering innocent lives every single day. This is not just mismanagement; it is outright irresponsibility at its worst.

Recently, a Muslim individual entered the Golden Temple complex wearing a skullcap, used water from the Sarovar to rinse his mouth and made the “Tawhid” gesture. He later shared the video on Instagram with an Islamic victory chant.

By any standard, this amounted to a violation of the maryada of the Golden Temple. Yet, remarkably, the individual appears to have faced no consequences. The incident has largely gone unnoticed by Sikh organizations, political leaders, and prominent Sikh voices, both in India and abroad.

The absence of public outrage over such a serious breach is both puzzling and deeply concerning. Why has an incident of this magnitude failed to trigger any meaningful response?
