Today on 25th Sept, Silapathar Municipal Board Organised a street Cleanliness drive as part of Nationwide campaign on 'Shramdaan' under Swacchata Hi Sewa Campaign with NGO Swachh Brahmaputra Valley Foundation to spread awareness on social responsiblity to keep premises clean and disease free.

Silapathar Science College Students also accompained the event to spread awarness on cleanliness and pledge was taken to contribute voluntarily to cleanliness.

Today on 5th June 2025, on the occasion of World Environment day, Silapathar MB organised various programs in coordination with Forest Division Dhemaji in lieu with the theme to Curb Plastics usage in daily needs.

1. Saplings Plantation drive was organised at Material Recovery Facility Sarupam.

2. Street Play was organised to spread awarness on Proper garbage disposal, harmful effects of burning plastics and use of alternatives.

Today on 5th June 2025, on the occasion of World Environment day, Silapathar MB organised various programs in coordination with Forest Division Dhemaji in lieu with the theme to Curb Plastics usage in dailys needs.

-----DUSTBIN DISTRIBUTION------

On 20th March 2025, SILAPATHAR MB in its goal to make Silapathar town a full functioning commercial hub, distributed the twin dustbins (Wet & Dry) donated by SBI under its CSR funds to prominent shops, marketplaces where footfall is significant, user fee is recovered and results in large garbage collection.

Whole garbage collection process will be strictly checked & managed by MB & collaborated NGO - Swachh Brahmaputra Valley Foundation .
We urge public to separate waste before throwing it in dustbins.
WET Waste (Green bin) - foods items, leaves
DRY Waste (Blue bin) - anything other than food items

OFFICE MEETING AGENDA - SMOOTH AND EFFICIENT FUNCTIONING OF MUNICIPALITY WORKS

Today on 4th March 2025, an office meeting was chaired by Chairman of Silapathar MB - Smti Labonya Pait Doley and co- chaired by Vice Chairman and Executive Officer.
Meeting was attended by all 12 Ward Members and Staff of MB.

Agenda of meeting was to discuss about better functioning of works under jurisdiction of municipality.

Chairman emphasized on integrity in work and better delivery of services of MB for residents. Mam has asked of more public participation in works such as garbage collection, to maintain a clean and Green town.

For public ease, recently MB has started overnight garbage collection from commercial areas. We urge shops to kindly co-operate with us in this regard.

DUSTBIN Donation under SBI CSR initiative to Silapathar MB

Today on 17th Feb 2025, in presence of Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer of Silapathar MB, Branch Manager of SBI Kulajan Silapathar branch, under its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative donated 100 nos of Dustbins, each having capacity of 60L to Silapathar MB.

In our goal to keep Silapathar town Clean and Garbage free, such dustbins will be placed at prominent market places to ease our safai karmacharis in collecting and disposing garbage further.

We urge citizens, shopkeepers to kindly use dustbins and not throw wrappers, plastics on road. Fine of ₹2000/- will be levied if shops are caught littering in places where dustbins are kept.
