Last Sunday, the Ladakh Mountain Guide Association organized a thrilling rock climbing event for the Riglam School students at the Shey rock climbing spot.
The event kicked off in the morning, with eager students gathering at the Shey rock climbing spot. The instructors from the Ladakh Mountain Guide Association were there to provide a brief introduction to the sport of rock climbing. The students were then divided into groups and each group was assigned experienced guides to lead them through the climbing process.
The rock climbing spot at Shey offered a variety of challenges for the climbers, ranging from easy to moderately difficult climbs. Each students was encouraged to push themselves to their limits and try their best. The instructors were always on hand to provide guidance and support, ensuring that everyone was safe and having a great time.
The atmosphere at the event was great, with cheers and encouragement echoing across the rocks. The students showed incredible determination and skill, conquering the challenges in front of them with aplomb.
The event was a fantastic way for the students of Riglam School to learn about rock climbing, experience the thrill of adventure, and develop their physical and mental capabilities.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Ladakh Mountain Guide Association for organizing such a wonderful event, and to all the participants who made it such a success. We hope to see you all at the next rock climbing event!
This is a part of LMGAโs initiative to promote outdoor education amongst the young generations of Ladakh.
We will be inviting more schools in the future.
