Today, the Addl. District Commissioner, Hailakandi, Smt. Minerva Devi Arambam, ACS, officially launched the Framework for Fertilizer Sale (FFS) Module at 10 AM on 3rd September 2026 at the Conference Hall, Office of the District Commissioner, Hailakandi, in the presence of the District Agricultural Officer, ADOs, AEAs, Vice President, Kisan Morcha, fertilizer retailers and progressive farmers.
She explained that the FFS will ensure transparent, timely and efficient delivery of fertilizers to genuine farmers. Through the FFS application, farmers can generate a QR code using an Android mobile phone or seek assistance from AEAs or nearby authorised retailers.
The QR code can be generated using either the Farmer ID or Aadhaar number. Once generated, it remains valid for two days, and the farmer receives the QR code/token number via SMS. By presenting the QR code or token number, farmers can collect the required fertilizer from an authorised retailer.
The system will help maintain proper records, prevent misuse and ensure transparency, accountability, easy access and timely availability of fertilizers to genuine farmers.
