A farewell programme was held today in the Conference Hall of CDC Office, Lakhipur for the Assistant Commissioners, Lakshyajeet Gogoi, ACS and Pankhi Hazarika, ACS on the occasion of their transfer.

The programme was chaired by the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur, Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS and was attended by all officers and staff of the office.

The office family conveys its heartfelt appreciation for their dedicated service for the public and extends warm wishes for continued success, good health, and fulfillment in their public service journey ahead as they take on new responsibilities.

Today, on 10th February, 2026, Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur, who is also the Chairman of the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC), along with Smti Rituparna Bhadra, ALRS, Circle Officer, Lakhipur, who is also the Convenor of the SMDC, visited Adarsha Vidyalaya, Dewan T.E.

The visit included a detailed interaction with the teachers and staff, focusing on key academic, administrative, and infrastructural matters.

The dignitaries also interacted with the students, motivating them and gaining firsthand insight into the teaching-learning environment.

Today, on 6th February, 2026, a meeting was held at the conference hall of the office of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur regarding compensation related to land acquisition for the Azure Power Plant, Lakhipur. The meeting was chaired by the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur and attended by the concerned patwaries and beneficiaries who were left out in the previous settlement of compensation for the land acquisition. The issues of the left-out beneficiaries were discussed in detail to ensure transparency and appropriate resolution.

Today, on 03rd February, 2026, Sampoornata Abhiyaan 2.0 was formally inaugurated with the vision of achieving holistic development and inclusive growth through focused interventions and active community participation.

The programme was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Office of the Block Development Officer, Lakhipur. The occasion was graced by Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur; Shri Lakshyajeet Gogoi, ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Lakhipur ; Smt. Anjali Kumari, ACS, Branch Officer (Social Welfare), DC Office, Cachar; the Block Development Officer, Lakhipur; the Deputy Superintendent, Chotomamda Model Hospital ; the CDPO, Lakhipur ICDS Project; the Block Veterinary Officer, Lakhipur, PRI members along with officials from Lakhipur CDPO, Anganwadi Workers and ASHAs under Lakhipur Aspirational Block along with other stakeholders.

The meeting was chaired by Shri Rajib Roy, ACS, District Development Commissioner, Cachar, Silchar and attended by Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur; Shri Lakshyajeet Gogoi, ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Lakhipur; BDO, Lakhipur; SDM&HO, Lakhipur BPHC alongwith other key stakeholders.

A preparatory meeting was held today at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District, in connection with the celebration of Republic Day, 2026 in Lakhipur Co-District, Cachar.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Lakshyajeet Gogoi, ACS, Asstt. Commissioner, Lakhipur in presence of Shri Prithviraj Rajkhowa, APS, CDSP, Lakhipur and Smt Pankhi Hazarika, ACS, Asstt. Today, on the 10th of December, 2025, Swahid Divas was observed in the conference hall of the office of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District. The programme was chaired by the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District, and was attended by Assistant Commissioners Shri Lakshyajeet Gogoi, ACS, and Smt. Pankhi Hazarika, ACS; the Circle Officer, Lakhipur, Smt. Rituparna Bhadra, ALRS; along with staff from the establishment of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur, and the office of the Assistant Settlement Officer, Lakhipur.

As part of the observance, all participants sang the patriotic and immortal song by Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, “Swahid Pranamu Tomak.” Live streaming of the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s address on the Divas was also conducted. Today, on 10th December, 2025, a meeting was held in connection with the ongoing Special Revision of the Electoral Roll. The meeting was chaired by the Electoral Registration Officer, 114-Lakhipur LAC, cm Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District. Various doubts regarding the Special Revision programme raised by the BLOs were addressed by the ERO. The ERO directed all BLOs to ensure that the Special Revision is completed before the due date, i.e., 20th December, 2025.

Today, on 21st Nov, 2025, a meeting was held in the conference hall of Office of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur from 12.00 noon onwards with line departments to promote Cancer Awareness and Early Detection at grass root level. The programme was graced by Dr. R. Ravi Kannan, Director, Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (CCHRC), Silchar; Smt. Pankhi Hazarika, ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District along with heads and staff of the line departments.

Dr. R. Ravi Kannan, in his valuable speech, emphasized the importance of our daily lifestyle e.g. physical exercise, food habits etc and how they affects our overall health. He also discussed the strategies about early detection and how to address cancer at grass root level. He also requested everyone to share cancer awareness among the family, friends and community.
Together, we remain committed to building a healthier society and nation with our collective efforts.

Lakhipur Co-District | Theme: Safeguarding Press Credibility Amidst Rising Misinformation

Today, on 16th November, 2025, the National Press Day- 2025 was observed at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District, in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Information & Public Relations Officer, Lakhipur.

The seminar was graced by Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District; Smt. Pankhi Hazarika, ACS, Assistant Commissioner and i/c. SDIPRO, Lakhipur; Shri Mrinal Kanti Das, Chairman, Lakhipur Municipal Board; Dr. Shuvajit Chakraborty, Principal, Nehru College, Pailapool; Shri Abdul Sukur Barbhuiya, Senior Journalist; along with distinguished media personnels under Lakhipur Co-District area.

At the outset, the CDC briefed about the theme of the observation — “Safeguarding Press Credibility amidst Rising Misinformation” — highlighting the importance of responsible journalism and the collective responsibility to safeguard truth in an era of rapidly spreading misinformation.

The programme brought together everyone present in the seminar to discuss about the challenges, insights, commitment to ethical journalism, authentic information dissemination, and strengthening public trust in the press.

At the end, the Co-District Commissioner offered heartfelt gratitude to all participants, and media representatives for making the observance meaningful.

Before conclusion of the seminar, each of the media representative was gifted a token of appreciation.

The observation ended with vote of thanks from the chair.

Let us continue to uphold the values of a free, fair and credible press for a stronger democracy.

Today on 07th November, 2025, Lakhipur Co-District proudly celebrated Vande Mataram @150, commemorating 150 glorious years of the national song “Vande Mataram” — a timeless tribute to our Motherland.

The event was graced by Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District; Smti Rituparna Bhadra, ALRS, Circle Officer, Lakhipur Revenue Circle; Smt. Pankhi Hazarika, ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District; Shri Sanjay Thakur, Representative of Hon'ble Minister, FPD&CA, M&M and BVD Departments, Govt. of Assam along with officials and staffs from various departments under Lakhipur Co-District.

The programme featured soulful rendition of- "Vande Mataram" and reflections on the song’s role in India’s freedom movement and its enduring spirit of unity and devotion.
As part of the celebration, the live streaming of the Hon'ble Prime Minister's address was also organised to witness his inspiring words on this historic occasion.
