✨ “Behind every successful student is a teacher who believed in them first.” ✨

On this Teacher’s Day, NSS celebrates the mentors who shape our lives 🌸. Teachers are more than educators — they inspire, guide, and nurture us with patience and care, helping us grow into better individuals.

Just like the NSS spirit “Not Me, But You”, their work is an act of selfless service 🙏. Beyond lessons in books, they teach us values of kindness, resilience, and compassion. To every teacher who believed in us — thank you, and Happy Teacher’s Day! ✨📚

With the joyful echo of “Ganpati Bappa Morya,” the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi fills the air with happiness and devotion. This festival celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the beloved God of wisdom and prosperity. People welcome beautifully crafted idols into their homes and pandals, offer prayers and sweets, and celebrate together with music and unity. The festival is not just about worship, but also about spreading joy, togetherness, and harmony in society.

For NSS, Ganesh Chaturthi is more than a tradition—it is an opportunity to inspire change. By promoting clay idols, eco-friendly decorations, and safe immersion practices, NSS volunteers show how culture and care for nature can go hand in hand. The spirit of this festival beautifully reflects the NSS motto “Not Me But You,” reminding us to serve others, protect our environment, and celebrate with responsibility and love.

Janmashtami, also known as Krishna Janmashtami or Gokulashtami, is a sacred festival that marks the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Celebrated with great devotion across India, the festival reflects the values of love, truth, and righteousness. According to tradition, Krishna was born at midnight to restore peace and justice in a world burdened with evil. His teachings in the Bhagavad Gita emphasize the importance of duty (karma), devotion (bhakti), and righteousness (dharma).

Across the country, devotees observe fasting, sing bhajans, and offer prayers at midnight, the believed time of Krishna’s birth. Celebrations include Dahi Handi in Maharashtra, Ras Leela in Mathura and Vrindavan, and the distribution of prasad.

As NSS volunteers, Janmashtami is not only a spiritual celebration but also an opportunity to embody Krishna’s values through service. Organizing cleanliness drives, arranging cultural programs, and distributing food and clothes to the needy can make the festival more meaningful. By celebrating Janmashtami with acts of kindness and unity, we honor Lord Krishna’s message that true devotion lies in selfless service to humanity.

“In the spirit of Krishna, let’s serve with love.”

Independence Day – A Tribute to Freedom

Introduction
Independence Day, celebrated on 15th August every year in India, marks the historic moment when our country gained freedom from British colonial rule in 1947. It is not just a national holiday—it is a day of pride, remembrance, and unity for all Indians.

Historical Background
For nearly 200 years, India was under British control. Freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, and countless others dedicated their lives to the struggle for independence. Their sacrifices and relentless efforts finally bore fruit on 15th August 1947, when India became a sovereign nation.

Significance of the Day

Reminds us of the struggles and sacrifices of our ancestors.

Inspires patriotism and national unity.

Encourages us to contribute to the nation’s growth and protect its freedom.

Celebrations Across the Country

Flag Hoisting: The Prime Minister hoists the national flag at the Red Fort, Delhi, followed by the National Anthem and a speech addressing the nation.

Parades & Cultural Programs: Schools, colleges, and communities organize events showcasing patriotic songs, dances, and plays.

Decorations: Streets, buildings, and homes are adorned with the tricolour.

Message of Independence Day
Independence Day is not only about remembering the past—it is about shaping the future. Freedom comes with responsibility. We must uphold the values of democracy, unity, and equality to ensure that the sacrifices of our freedom fighters were not in vain.

Conclusion
Independence Day is a reminder that our freedom was hard-earned. Let us cherish it, protect it, and work together for a better, stronger, and more prosperous India.

Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
Day
