A Birthday Celebration Filled with Compassion and Kindness

Today’s feeding session for the voiceless souls of Kurseong was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Mr. Mahendra Tamang and Mrs. Manisha Pradhan of Peshok on the joyous occasion of their beloved son Wangdak Tamang’s first birthday.

On behalf of everyone at Kurseong K9, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mahendra and Manisha for choosing to celebrate this special milestone by spreading kindness to those who cannot speak for themselves. Your thoughtful gesture is a beautiful reminder that compassion knows no distance. Even though you are far from Kurseong, your generosity reached the streets of our town and brought comfort to many hungry lives.

A single meal may seem small to some, but for a stray animal struggling to survive, it means hope, relief, and a moment of happiness. Your support has made a real difference, and for that, we are deeply thankful.

As little Wangdak celebrates his first birthday, we send him our warmest love, blessings, and best wishes. May he grow up with a kind heart, a compassionate spirit, and a life filled with good health, happiness, and endless joy.

Thank you, Mahendra and Manisha, for making Wangdak’s special day even more meaningful by sharing your love with our four-legged friends.

With gratitude,
Kurseong K9

We at Kurseong K9 extend our heartfelt wishes to Dr. Sameer Chhetri, Asst. Director, ARD Department, Darjeeling, on his special day.

Since the very beginning of Kurseong K9, Dr. Chettri has been our constant pillar of support—guiding us through countless rescues, treatments, and every challenge that came our way. Because of his unwavering dedication, we were able to successfully organise 60 sterilisation camps in Kurseong, a milestone we could never have achieved without him.

Dr. Chettri is one of those rare veterinarians whose heart beats for the voiceless. Whether it is day or late into the night, he is always ready to help a stray in distress, always ready to serve with compassion.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Sameer Chettri. May God's grace always shine upon you. May all your dreams find their way to fulfilment. And may you be blessed with even more strength and kindness as you continue your selfless service for our beloved furry friends.

With love
Kurseong K9.

Kurseong Police's Compassionate Service Towards Street Animals

The Kurseong Police has long been recognised for its dedicated service to public welfare. What many may not know, however, is their consistent and heartfelt contribution to the welfare of street animals as well. Our annual Anti-Rabies Vaccination drives in 2020 and 2021 were successfully organised in collaboration with the Kurseong Police, who have always extended their full cooperation, especially in cases of animal cruelty. The police personnel also routinely feed several stray animals living within their compound.

Among them, Police Officer Seema Limbu exemplifies this compassion at an extraordinary level. Currently posted at the Kurseong Town Out Post at Burdwan Road, she has taken it upon herself to care for a female stray dog named “Kaanchhi,” who has now made the outpost her home. Loved by every staff member there, Kaanchhi receives not just affection but also a specially arranged daily meal. Officer Seema provides her with rice, dal, and a freshly prepared meat broth from a nearby restaurant—food cooked exclusively for Kaanchhi every single day.

We at Kurseong K9 extend our heartfelt gratitude to all police personnel in Kurseong for their unwavering kindness and support for the voiceless. Their quiet acts of compassion remind us that true service goes beyond duty—it reflects humanity, empathy, and the willingness to protect every living being in need.

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Thapa Family

Today’s feeding session for the voiceless souls of Kurseong was lovingly sponsored by Mr. Kishan Thapa from Mumbai, in cherished remembrance of his dear sister, Late Narmada Thapa, on her first death anniversary.

This is not the first time Mr. Thapa has extended his compassion across the miles. In 2021, he sponsored a feeding session in memory of his beloved furry friend Suzi, a gentle four-legged family member dearly loved by Mr. Kishan Thapa, Mrs. Bindu Thapa, and Ms. Sagarika Thapa.

Just a few weeks ago, his daughter Pranisha also sponsored a feeding session in the loving memory of her dear friend Oscar, carrying forward the family’s beautiful legacy of kindness.

At Kurseong K9, our hearts are full of gratitude.
To Mr. Kishan Thapa and the entire Thapa family — thank you for your unwavering compassion, for remembering both animals and humans in your acts of generosity, and for letting love guide your giving.

A special note of appreciation to Mrs. Munnu, Pranisha’s mother, whose tireless and selfless dedication to the welfare of Kurseong’s strays continues to inspire us every day.

Your kindness feeds more than empty stomachs — it nourishes hope.
From all of us at Kurseong K9, thank you.

Needs a home urgently. If anyone’s interested - This is Leo - a two months old male German Shepherd. Our neighbor Poonam bought him for ₹20000/-. She wanted to give a surprise gift to her husband. But she came to know that her husband Kishore is alergic to dogs. Poonam is now looking for a new home for him.

If anyone is interested, Kishore is 32 years old, drives a bike, can cook, has sharp features, and is reasonably handsome.

Evening Feeding Session Dedicated to a Special Day

On the occasion of Kimmie Noronha’s birthday (11th May), we at Kurseong K9 would like to extend our warmest and heartfelt belated birthday wishes to her. Happy belated birthday, Kimmie!

Kimmie's sister Sharon Pillay Noronha’s kindness lit up our evening in the most beautiful way. She sponsored an evening feeding session for the strays of Kurseong, giving our voiceless friends a comforting meal.

Sharon, thank you for your thoughtful and compassionate gesture. Your kindness reached every wagging tail and every hungry heart.

To everyone reading this—may we all be inspired by Sharon’s act and choose to spread kindness whenever we can. The strays feel every bit of it.
