“What was assaulted on August 5th ?-------the bond of relationship between J&K and the Union of India-------Tarigami.
Despite all claims, the fact remains that the rights of the people have been muzzled by downgrading and dividing the historic state and the blatant refusal of restoration of Statehood. Misleading the country by a false propaganda of forced silence remains the essence of the narrative of BJP.

We reject the 5 August 2019 decision as unconstitutional and undemocratic.

Delhi Police forcibly entered the CPI(M) Headquarters, AKG Bhavan, in an attempt to arrest SFI leader Aishe Ghosh.

The illegal attempt was firmly resisted by CPI(M) Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas, who forcefully intervened to stop the police from carrying out this unlawful action inside the Party headquarters. The police came in a private vehicle, some without uniform and left when questioned.

This brazen intrusion into a political party office and the continuing witch hunt against student protesters expose the Modi government's escalating assault on democratic rights. Instead of addressing the legitimate concerns of students, the state is using police power to intimidate, silence and criminalise dissent.

The CPI(M) strongly condemns this unlawful action and stands firmly with the students fighting for justice, education, and democracy.
