A massive anti poppy cultivation drive was conducted by police and revenue in nowbugh kund. Naib tehsildar nowbugh Mr Hyder hussain bhat along with his field staff and Sho kund Mr lateef sb along with his staff jointly destroyed around 4 to 5 kanals of cultivated poppy crops. Meanwhile talking to media naib tehsildar requested general people to come forward and help civil and police administration in curbing this menace. Naib tehsildar was of utmost concern that if this drug menace is unchecked we will lead to disaster. Meanwhile naib tehsildar said that drives will intensify in kund valley in coming days and advised people to refrain from such illegal cultivations failing which action will be taken against the violators.

Today poppy destruction drive has been carried out under the close supervision of Naib Tehsildar Kund alongwith all patwaries and police personnels of PS kund at Village Nowbug , Chekiwazoo and Waripora. Approximately poppy crop on 3 kanals 10 marlas has been destroyed.
