Krishi Vigyan Kendra-Calicut During the initial stages, the Kendra functioned in a temporary building at the experimental farm of IISR. Paroda, Secretary, Dare and Director General, ICAR.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Calicut was established in 1992 under the Indian Institute of Spices Research at Peruvannamuzhi, 60 Km away from the district headquarters. The farmers training cm administrative building and the farmers hostel were inaugurated on 7th December, 1998 by Padmabhushan Dr. R.S. The Hostel can accommodate 20 farmers at time.

As part of the Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2026, a cleaning and maintenance drive was undertaken at the demonstration units of KVK to remove weeds, unwanted vegetation and accumulated debris around the units. The activity involved the active participation of KVK staff and helped improve the cleanliness, accessibility and overall appearance of the demonstration areas.
