The AYUDH Foundational Course on Sanatana Dharma was successfully completed in Mumbai with 90 hours of learning and activities. In the final sessions, the AYUDHians reflected on the importance of a living Master in their lives and spent time learning about Amma's life—Her compassion, darshan, simplicity, selfless service, unconditional love, and the way She continues to guide and inspire millions around the world. Through stories, discussions, videos, and reflections, they explored what Sanatana Dharma says about the role of a Spiritual Guru and how a Guru’s guidance can bring clarity, strength, confidence, and direction in life.

The prize distribution for the various activities, quizzes, and enthusiastic participation throughout the course added excitement and joy to the concluding phase of the program.

A special part of the session was watching video interviews of youth sharing their personal experiences of having Amma in their lives. Hearing real stories from young people made the topic feel more genuine and relatable, helping the AYUDHians connect more deeply with the discussions.

The session was filled with interactive activities, open discussions, and question-and-answer segments where the AYUDHians could freely ask questions, clear doubts, and dive deeper into the topics together. This open and engaging atmosphere made learning both comfortable and enjoyable.

One of the most unique aspects of the course is how profound spiritual concepts are presented in a way that youth can easily connect with — not through lectures alone, but through conversations, games, activities, reflections, quizzzes and shared experiences.

🐝 Did you know? 1 in every 3 bites of food we eat is linked to pollination by bees. Amma says, "It is from pollination by honeybees that we get fruits and vegetables. The bees would fly out as far as three kilometers to collect pollen and return. Now the use of pesticides has affected their memory to do so...People must plant flowering trees and install beehives. Thousands of Amma’s children are doing this, but more children should get involved and plant more trees and beehives with focus and sincerity."

Considering awarness about this is extremely low, AYUDH Chennai is organising "BEE-Cause" National Webinar on Honeybee Conservation prior to 2026, inspired by the official FAO theme “Bee together for people and the planet 🌍– A partnership that sustains us all.”

Join us Online on Zoom:
On 17 May 2026 | Sunday, ⏰ 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM IST
🎙️ Speakers: Mr. Apoorva BV– Bee Conservationist | Prof. V. R. Saminathan – Entomologist

AYUDH Mumbai continued with the next phase of the 'Science of Spirituality' (SoS) course, a unique learning journey where Sanatana Dharma is explored in a practical, relatable, and engaging way for today’s youth.

In this phase, the AYUDHians spent time reflecting on Amma’s life and teachings, learning how spirituality can be applied in simple and meaningful ways in daily life. The sessions focused on developing a calmer, more focused, and balanced mind through spiritual practices that youth can realistically include in their daily routines.

IAM Meditation Youth Practice sessions were held regularly. Practicing together as a group created a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere, allowing the AYUDHians to experience how even a short daily practice can help quiet the mind, improve concentration, and bring inner balance.

The AYUDHians also prepared for group activities connected to the various topics that they learned, making the learning process interactive, creative, and enjoyable. Through discussions, teamwork, games, and shared reflections, the concepts became easier to understand and relate to in everyday life. It was a process of learning through fun and working together during group activities. Rather than spirituality feeling distant or complicated, the sessions helped AYUDHians understand how these teachings can support them in their studies, relationships, personal growth, and daily challenges.

Filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and moments of quiet reflection, the sessions became not just classes, but experiences of learning, self-discovery, and growing together.

A lively spirit of seva and teamwork permeated the atmosphere as the AYUDHians of Amrita Vidyalayam, Mumbai, presented a dynamic exhibition that embodied the core principles of Karma Yoga, inspired by their learnings from the course “The Science of Spirituality.”

The exhibition booths showcased real-life stories of Karma Yogis whose lives and incomparable contributions to the world convey the true message of this lofty concept. The booths featured thoughtfully designed charts, posters, videos, props, interactive games, and creative feedback trees that encouraged visitors to participate and reflect. Through these activities, AYUDHians showed that Karma Yoga is not limited to extraordinary situations but can be practiced through simple, everyday actions. What made the exhibition stand out was how students transformed their understanding into engaging experiences.

The event was honored by the presence of Swami Avyayamritananda Puri, In-charge of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Mumbai, along with the School Principal, Brahmacharini Sharanyamrita Chaitanya. Their visit offered great encouragement and appreciation for the students’ sincere efforts, while also acknowledging their depth of understanding, thoughtful preparation, and confident presentation of the concepts they had learned.

Visitors, including parents who are working professionals, the principal, teachers, and senior students of Amrita Vidyalayam, were deeply inspired by the exhibition and presentations.

The students answered questions with confidence and clarity, demonstrating not only their knowledge but also their genuine connection to the values they were sharing. Their unity and teamwork were clearly visible, making the entire experience even more impactful.

One of the key booths focused on “Amma – An Embodiment of Karma Yoga,” where AYUDH members showcased Amma’s Darshan and immense humanitarian contributions, offering a true definition of selfless service and unconditional love for all living beings.
Another engaging booth illustrated how ordinary individuals—students, working professionals, teachers, and homemakers—can practice Karma Yoga in their daily lives. Real-world examples demonstrated how ordinary actions can be transformed into acts of selfless service.

The booths also provided insights into responding to life’s challenges with righteousness and equanimity, highlighting the philosophy of selfless action, the importance of being fully present in one’s duties, and how ordinary heroes emerge in extraordinary circumstances. Each theme reflected courage, sacrifice, and selflessness, reminding visitors that true Karma Yogis act without expectation and remain steadfast in the face of challenges.
Visitors were deeply moved by the stories of bravery, patriotism, and inspiring examples of Karma Yoga.

This exhibition was more than a display—it was learning in action. Through their dedication and creativity, AYUDHians successfully conveyed a powerful message: Karma Yoga is a path anyone can follow, transforming even the smallest actions into meaningful acts of selfless service!

AYUDH Mumbai spent a deeply meaningful day, filled with warmth and love, at the Dattajay Foundation old age home in Borivali, Mumbai. It was an emotional and eye-opening experience for the AYUDHians, as many residents opened up and shared stories about their lives and families. They shared their pain and life stories with a depth that reflected how much they needed someone to listen, and as the conversations continued, some became emotional and broke into tears while remembering their loved ones, leaving a deep impact on everyone present.

The team shared stories about Amma, Amma’s message, spoke about their personal experiences with Amma, and showed videos that brought warm smiles to the residents’ faces, creating a beautiful sense of closeness and comfort. They spent the day together singing bhajans and dancing, laughing, capturing memories, sharing Amma’s photos and prasad, and lovingly serving lunch. As the bhajans filled the space, the residents joyfully joined in, and the whole atmosphere turned into one of pure energy, devotion, and togetherness.

In those moments, something truly special unfolded. One of the elderly women lovingly braided the AYUDHian girls’ hair, while many of the residents and AYUDHians fed each other with care and affection. It felt like generations meeting through love beyond words, as the elderly women embraced the girls with warmth, perhaps reminded of the granddaughters they missed.

This was not just seva, it felt like a shared space of giving and receiving love. And in serving others the AYUDHians also felt something shift within themselves.

As the future generation of Bharat, this experience reminded them to cherish their parents, remain grateful to them, and understand that seva goes beyond selfless action—it becomes an expression of compassion and love.

On Day 3 in Amritapuri, the AYUDHians from Bhubaneswar experienced a day filled with reflection, learning, and deeply meaningful and blessed moments that brought their entire journey together.

The most awaited moments of their visit were Amma’s Darshan. For many of them, it was their very first time meeting Amma. Having spent the past year learning about the importance of a living Master, this moment felt deeply special and personal. When they finally sat in Amma’s presence, there was a quiet stillness, a sense of closeness, and an emotion that was difficult to put into words. It was something they had understood in theory before, but now they were experiencing it directly.

They attended inspiring talks by Swami Shubhamritananda Puri and Mr. Vinod. The sessions were simple, engaging, and thought-provoking, touching on practical aspects of spirituality, self-growth, the essence of Bharat culture, and how to live with greater awareness in daily life.

What made these sessions especially valuable was the open Q&A that followed. The AYUDHians had the opportunity to ask questions, share their thoughts, and clarify doubts they had been carrying. The interactions were honest and grounded, making the learning feel personal and relevant.

A special highlight of the day was the certificate distribution for the AYUDH “Science of Spirituality” course, which the AYUDHians had completed over the past year. Swami Shubhamritananda Puri handed over the certificates. It marked not just the completion of a course, but a meaningful step forward in their inner journey.

Before concluding their visit, the AYUDHians offered bhajans in front of Amma, a small prayer from their hearts. It was a simple yet touching moment, filled with gratitude, devotion, and a sense of completion.

As they prepared to leave Amritapuri, there was a mix of emotions, happiness, gratitude, and a quiet reluctance to go. In just a few days, the ashram had become more than a place. It had become an experience they would carry with them forever.

This final day was not just an ending, but the beginning of something deeper within each of them!

On Day 2 of their Amritapuri visit, the AYUDHians from Bhubaneswar walked across the serene backwaters to Amrita University’s Amritapuri campus—a journey that was simple, yet filled with anticipation and curiosity. A special highlight was their walk through the Rudraksha garden, where they observed how the plants and trees grow in a very natural and unique way untouched, balanced, and thriving in harmony with nature. This idea deeply touched the AYUDHians.

They were introduced to various project groups and initiatives within the university, gaining a closer look at how students and researchers are working on real-world challenges. From Wireless Networks and Applications (WNA) and landslide detection systems to the inspiring work at the Amrita School of Biotechnology and robotics, each research project reflected a strong sense of purpose—to serve society. What they experienced there left a deep impression on all of them.

What truly stood out to the AYUDHians was learning that many of these projects were guided by Amma's vision. It was not just about academic success or innovation for its own sake. Every student is encouraged to look beyond themselves, to identify real problems faced by communities and work towards meaningful, practical solutions.

They also visited the Ayurveda College across the backwaters, where they were introduced to traditional systems of healing and holistic living.

They saw how education here is not separate from values. It is rooted in giving back, in compassion, and in responsibility. It was a living example of how the principles of Sanatana Dharma can be practiced in today’s world, not just in temples or ashrams, but in classrooms, labs, and everyday work.

Walking through the campus, interacting with the project teams, made the experience even more real and relatable. For the AYUDHians, this visit was more than just an exposure trip. It shifted the way they looked at education, service, and their own potential to contribute to society. It was a reminder that when knowledge is guided by the right intention, it becomes a powerful force for good.

AYUDH members from Bhubaneswar, who completed the course “Science of Spirituality,” embarked on a heartfelt journey to Amritapuri to seek the blessings of Amma. In Sanatana Dharma, visiting an ashram is not just about seeing a place; it is a space where spirituality is lived every moment, where the presence of a living Master helps seekers move from simply learning to truly experiencing—a way of life.
On Day1, with curiosity and openness, the AYUDHians arrived, and soon found themselves settling into this new environment. They were taken on a tour of Amritapuri, visiting sacred spaces such as the Kali Temple and Amma’s birth home. Walking through these spaces, listening to the stories behind them, and simply observing the atmosphere gave them a glimpse into the depth of the ashram’s history and energy. Many of them found themselves naturally becoming quieter, more attentive, and inward.
They also participated in fun and engaging yoga and a meditation session. There were laughter, small challenges, and shared moments, but at the same time, they began to understand how these practices help bring focus and balance.
Embracing the spirit of seva, they joyfully took part in activities like vegetable cutting and assisting at the seva desk, discovering how even the smallest acts, when done with love, can bring so much fulfillment.
What stood out most was how the experience made them feel. It wasn’t something dramatic, but something subtle and real. Many shared that they felt more peaceful, less restless, and more present. Some noticed they were thinking less and observing more. Others felt a sense of belonging, like they could just be themselves without any pressure.
There were also many lighter moments, taking photos together, walking around the ashram, sharing meals, and just spending time as a group. These small moments added warmth and joy to the entire experience.
Stay tuned for more glimpses from their journey—stories from two more days in Amritapuri coming soon!!

An upcycling workshop and eco-awareness campaign in nearby shops and communities was recently organized by AYUDH Durgapur, West Bengal.

Amma says, “Earth is our mother; nature is our mother. We should not forget our duty toward them.” Inspired by Amma’s words, the AYUDH team learned upcycling skills, put them into action, and shared them with others while also spreading awareness.

In today’s world, environmental challenges such as plastic pollution and the accumulation of plastic waste pose serious threats to nature and human life. Therefore, it is essential to promote simple and sustainable alternatives.

With this aim, the workshop began with an awareness session highlighting the importance of nature conservation, reducing plastic usage, and reusing newspaper waste. The session also shared the wisdom of Sanatana Dharma, which teaches us to see nature as divine and to recognize the presence of divinity in everything and within ourselves. Amma’s environmental initiatives were also introduced to inspire the participants.

Following this, a practical session was organized where the AYUDHians were taught a simple yet impactful skill—making paper bags from old newspapers in just one minute without using glue or any additional materials. After learning the method, they visited nearby shops and demonstrated it to local shopkeepers, encouraging them to replace plastic bags with eco-friendly paper alternatives.

Since newspapers are easily available, hundreds of bags were made and distributed. This thoughtful initiative not only helps reduce plastic waste but also empowers local shopkeepers with an economical and sustainable packaging option, creating a positive impact for both the environment and the community.

AYUDH Kolkata successfully continued Phase 2 of the Foundation Course on Sanatana Dharma with an exciting quiz on Nature Worship, making the sessions both insightful and engaging while helping participants understand the deep-rooted connection between spirituality and environmental conservation.

The sessions also drew inspiration from great thinkers like Albert Einstein and Srinivasa Ramanujan, who appreciated the timeless wisdom embedded in Sanatana Dharma. Adding to the creativity of the event, participants performed character plays depicting real-life incidents from the lives of great personalities who valued and upheld these principles.

Through fun-filled activities, interactive discussions, and thoughtful reflections, AYUDH members explored how the teachings of Sanatana Dharma remain relevant in modern life. The quiz and discussions instilled a deeper sense of responsibility toward nature and encouraged participants to see conservation as a sacred duty. The character plays also helped participants understand how eminent personalities were deeply connected to and inspired by Sanatana Dharma.

Week 2 of SoS in Kolkata concluded on an inspiring note, leaving the AYUDHians motivated to integrate these timeless teachings into their daily lives with renewed clarity and purpose.
