Basumallik Bari A Kolkata Heritage Property. Further down is 46 Sree Gopal Mallik Lane that belonged to the man after whom the alley is named.

This house belonged to Kshetra Chandra Basu Mallik, and a little ahead is 18 Radhanath Mallik Lane, which is the oldest house of the Basu Mallik clan that once dominated the Pataldanga area. All these three houses belong to the Basu Mallik clan whose primogenitor was Radhanath Mallik, who did not use the double-barrelled name. ga Pujo of Basumallick Bari started in 1831, when Radhanath Mullick initiated a small puja at home. Over the years, the puja grew in size and now the puja attracts hundreds of visitors daily during the puja days. The thakurdalan at the house is quite unique with a cast iron frame painted in blue and yellow with glass behind the top. The lion here is unique too – it has the body of a horse and the face of a dragon, a mythical creature apparently drawn from Chandimangal, with a fair bit of imagination thrown in.
