আজ হাওড়া জেলা ছাত্র পরিষদের সভাপতি তাহা আনোয়ারের নেতৃত্বে হাওড়া মিউনিসিপাল কর্পোরেশনে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের নিরাপত্তার স্বার্থে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ডেপুটেশন জমা দেওয়া হলো।
সত্য নিকেতনের মর্মান্তিক ঘটনার পুনরাবৃত্তি যাতে না ঘটে, তার জন্য দুর্ঘটনার পর প্রতিক্রিয়া নয়, দুর্ঘটনার আগেই প্রতিরোধমূলক ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করতে হবে।
হাওড়ায় ছাত্রছাত্রীদের বসবাসকারী PG, হস্টেল ও ভাড়া বাড়িগুলির নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে অবিলম্বে সেফটি ইন্সপেকশন, ভবনের কাঠামোগত স্থায়িত্ব ও প্রয়োজনীয় অনুমোদন যাচাই, অগ্নিনিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা ও জরুরি নির্গমন পথ পরিদর্শন এবং অননুমোদিত নির্মাণের বিরুদ্ধে যথাযথ পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণের দাবি জানানো হয়েছে।
উপস্থিত ছিলেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্য ছাত্র পরিষদের রাজ্য সম্পাদক জিসান আনোয়ার, শিবপুর বিধানসভা ছাত্র পরিষদের সভাপতি বিশ্বজিৎ বিশ্বকর্মা এবং উত্তর হাওড়া বিধানসভা ছাত্র পরিষদের সভাপতি মোহাম্মদ সফিক খান।
Today, under the leadership of Taha Anwar, President of Howrah District Chhatra Parishad, an important deputation was submitted to the Howrah Municipal Corporation in the interest of ensuring the safety and security of students.
To prevent the recurrence of the tragic incident at Satya Niketan, we must not wait to react after an accident. Preventive measures must be taken before a tragedy occurs.
We have demanded immediate safety inspections of PGs, hostels and rented accommodations where students reside in Howrah, including verification of structural stability and necessary approvals, inspection of fire safety measures and emergency exit routes, and appropriate action against unauthorised construction.
Present were Zishan Anwar, State Secretary of West Bengal State Chhatra Parishad; Biswajit Biswakarma, President of Shibpur Assembly Chhatra Parishad; and Md Safik Khan, President of North Howrah Assembly Chhatra Parishad.
