Final Day of RC-EMEx, Gossaigaon Revenue Circle

The concluding day of RC-EMEx–2026 witnessed the successful conduct of a Mock Drill on Earthquake at Gossaigaon College, executed as per the Incident Response System (IRS) protocol. All designated IRS facilities, including the Incident Command Post, Medical Aid Post, Staging Area, and Incident Base Camp, were effectively established and operational.

Response agencies such as NDRF, SDRF, Fire & Emergency Services, AAPDA MITRAs, Civil Defence Volunteers, NCC, and other stakeholders actively participated in the drill, demonstrating coordinated preparedness and prompt response mechanisms.

Revenue Circle Level Emergency Management Exercise, Gossaigaon Revenue Circle.

The 2nd Day of the exercise was formally inaugurated by our Hon’ble District Commissioner-cum-Chairman, DDMA, Kokrajhar, reaffirming our collective commitment towards disaster preparedness, inter-departmental coordination, and resilience. The programme witnessed the active presence of the 1st Battalion, NDRF, along with officials from the Health Department, PHE, PWD, and other line departments.

This Table Top Exercise is an important step toward strengthening our disaster response mechanism at the revenue circle level. It helps us identify gaps, clarify roles, and ensure seamless coordination among departments before an actual emergency occurs.

Earthquake preparedness begins with awareness—safe construction practices, community training, mock drills, and quick decision-making during the golden hour. Timely information flow, resource mobilization, and coordinated response can save countless lives.

The three-day Revenue Circle Emergency Management Exercise (RC-EMEx–2026) of Gossaigaon Revenue Circle commenced today with an Inaugural Programme, which was formally inaugurated by Shri Lourembam N. Mangangcha, IAS, SDO (Civil), Gossaigaon.
Following the inaugural session, the training programme under RC-EMEx–2026 was successfully conducted at Gossaigaon Revenue Circle. The programme was organized by DDMA, Kokrajhar in collaboration with ASDMA.
Topics Discussed:
1. Coordination for Response and Relief Management
2. Child-Centric Emergency Preparedness
3. Basic Search and Rescue
4.Water and Sanitation in Emergencies

Venue: Auditorium Hall, Gossaigaon College, Gossaigaon

Participants:
Participants included officers and staff of the Revenue Circle Administration led by the Circle Officer, Heads of Line Departments, Aapda Mitra Volunteers, members of local NGOs, and officials from the Departments of Education, Women & Child Development (WCD), Health & Family Welfare, and PHED.

The training sessions were conducted by District Resource Persons, focusing on strengthening preparedness, coordination, and response mechanisms at the Revenue Circle level.
