There were pleanty of believers and most of them were farmers and fishermen...
Even Francis Xavier passed through mundamveli once.. The church was destroyed by sea attack(waves)
Three churches were build in same location near sea shore and all of them were destroyed.. It can be seen at Manassery and the remainings of the church were converted to a semetry and is used by mundamveli church (at the side of manaserry church)
The 4th church was build in the current position of mundamveli church and its remainings were visible till 2003 and now its completely removed.. The 5th curch is the present mundamveli church and it was build in 1886 !!!and still standing still....
