Kirloskar group of schools started the Annual Social Gathering from today. Mr. Vinay Bhatt, Vice President & Plant Head, Kirloskar Brothers Limited, Kirloskarvadi presided the prize distribution function. On this occasion, he inaugurated the Science & Arts exhibition. Mr. Sangram Ghorpade & Mr. Vaibhav Telogote, Admin Dept, HRMC ,Kirloskar Brothers Limited, were present to grace the occasion.

Academic and sports excellence awards has been distributed to the students. All the PTA members of school and staff of Vikas charitable trust has taken great efforts for this function. The function was successfully conducted under the guidance of Mr.. V B Kulkarni, Education officer of school, Mrs. Sudha Mohite , administrative officer.

Today we celebrates the 153rd birth anniversary of Kirloskar Brothers Limited's founder Laxmanrao Kashinath Kirloskar. He is a pioneer of Indian machine-tools industry.He has creating the history in India to start the manufacturing of agricultural and domestic equipments. He established f an industrial township in India called Kirloskarvadi in 1910. Our school was started in 1936 but before that , Laxmanrao started one teacher school at Mayyapp Temple.

With his foresight, he built Kirloskar Brothers Limited into one of the country's most illustrious and significant businesses. Following in his footsteps, KBL has evolved to become India's largest pump manufacturing company.

We fondly remember one of our founding pillars who contributed to the success of KBL, as we celebrate his 119th birthday.

The nation remembered Shantanurao Kirloskar on his 25th death anniversary today.

The commemorative postage stamp issued by Department of Post office and Telegraph, Government of India on the occassion of Mr.Shantanurao Kirloskar's birth centenary was released by the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on 26th February 2003.

Shantanurao Kirloskar was a global thinker and an enterprising person who had the courage and the confidence in the potential of his own country even in the pre-independence era. He often said, "Economic preparedness is as vital as military preparedness." He viewed India as a part of the rest of the world and worked towards making India globally competitive. After the end of World War II, the Kirloskar Group grew rapidly under the leadership of S. L. Kirloskar. He created a business empire that enjoyed one of the highest growth rates in Indian history, a 32.40% growth of assets from 1950 to 1991.

Shantanurao Kirloskar was awarded Padma Bhushan in the year 1965 for his contribution to trade and industry.

Today, 24th April is the death anniversary of Shantanurao Laxmanrao Kirloskar , an Indian businessman and visionary leader.
S. L. Kirloskar was a global thinker and an enterprising person who had the courage and the confidence in the potential of his own country even in the pre-independence era. He successfully established a golden age for Indian industry and the country on the whole.
He often said, "Economic preparedness is as vital as military preparedness".He viewed India as a part of the rest of the world and worked towards making India globally competitive.
He contributed as a spokesperson representing the industry to the government and India to the world in various occasions. He also served as the first president of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.
In an age where businesses thrive on support from various mediums to succeed, Kirloskar Brothers has been succeeding based on its own merit and capability, thanks to the grit and determination of Shantanurao Kirloskar. He always put social welfare above business and profits.
In one of the event, the Mr. Sanjay Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director, Kirloskar Brothers Limited, said , “My grandfather was a thinker and a doer. As children I remember the toys he gave us to play would be a steam engine or a rubber band powered plane. He wanted to inculcate curiosity and an enterprising spirit in us. He taught us the importance of ethics in business. In life today, we are guided by those same values which form the core of our official code of ethics, that every employee is expected to follow.”
Today, he is believed to be one of the best role models for young industrialists who are keen on following his footsteps.
S. L. Kirloskar was awarded Padma Bhushan in the year 1965 for his contribution to trade and industry by Central Government of India.
On 26 February 2003, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the then Prime Minister of India, released a commemorative postage stamp of Shantanurao Kirloskar.
