On 19th May 2026, Inspection of 7 petrol pumps under Khowai Sub-Division was carried out by the Food Department, Office of the SDM, Khowai, to monitor the current fuel stock position and verify the maintenance of registers and related records.
During the inspection, it was observed that most of the petrol pumps are systematically maintaining records of vehicle numbers and fuel supplied. Such inspections play an important role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and proper fuel distribution management.

Following the heavy storm, multiple trees were uprooted, obstructing road access and posing safety risks. The Disaster Management Team responded immediately, undertaking systematic clearance operations using appropriate equipment and manpower.

All major obstructions were removed in a time-bound manner, ensuring safe and smooth movement for the public.
